The food was really great at Thanksgiving. A special thank you to the staff for making us feel at home although they had to be away from theirs on a holiday. However, I had seafood there tonight. Something has changed. Worst seafood I've ever eaten. The chicken was awesome. Frog legs really good. Mashed potatoes...good. service excellent. Seafood....worst ever.

If I could put a 0 star I totally would. We went to try the seafood buffet and the all you can eat crab legs. Upon arrival we had called and tried to make reservations because there were 13 of us. We was told by the hostess that we can make reservations. So when we got there we had to wait 20+ minutes before getting a seat keep in mind we arrived about 6:30. Once we sat down and got our drinks order taken, the waitress had mentioned to us that the cook said they was going last call 20 minutes after 7. By this point it was already 7:15, so we ordered our first round of crab legs and when she brought them out we ordered our second round. We mentioned that one of the girls with us wasn’t eating off the buffet and requested a menu, we never got a menu so she ate a salad. First off the crab legs were cold the only thing that was hot was the plate, they weren’t seasoned. So when the waitress came out to tell us they stopped serving crab legs at 7:30 because they “ran out.” So we said ok and that we’d just eat off the hot bar, so when one of the mother and her son went to get Mac and Cheese off the hot bar she informed us they was pulling stuff off the bar. At this point it was 7:45. We got the manager Lavern to talk about how we was charged $30+ to eat for such little amount, keep in mind they tried charging the girl who asked for a menu as the buffet price. So when we was talking to the manager she wasn’t listening and kept mentioning that “she didn’t own the place.” The manager told us that if we wasn’t going to pay that she was gonna call the cops on us. This morning my mother called to talk to the GM manager Jeff, all that he could offer was paying for our drinks, $20 out of a $300 total bill. The service was completely garbage, manager was rude and careless.

Saturday night. 1st time in more than a year we decided to go to Shoney's for supper. We were seated right away.. as we sat down, checked out the salad/hot bar.. Nope, wasn't about to even think about eating from there.. (7ish) so everything should have still been fresh and look appealing .. ordered a slim Jim and Philly steak and cheese. Ham on slim Jim hard and greasy. Bread stale. Meat on Philly was just in middle of bread and not enough to cover both ends of the sandwich. Waitress brought our order and never saw her again so we couldn't send it back. Left it there barely eaten. When we complained at register to person in charge.. her comment " we had 2 other customers complain earlier today". That's it. Not a sorry about the food . Not a let me look into it. Nothing... im sure it could have been a messed up time that day or just had a rough time for cook and server. And I'm sure most of time food and service is good. But our experience upset and still hungry.

My servers name was Lisa, she was quite rude and very unprofessional. Dismissed most of my questions I asked her and told me it was a buffet….. the food was mostly inedible and hard to eat. Will not be coming back, unless y’all get better help and more welcoming people into the environment.
