Ordered a couple of sadwiches and a side salad on a slow evening about 45 min before they closed. Cook forgot the salad after making the sandwiches but had left the kitchen. Cashier made us the salad. Sandwiches were very good but mine was missing one of the meat ingredients.

We LOVE Pamlico Deli. There is a great selection of vegetarian options (plus loads of omnivore selections). They also offer a wide range of beverages, including alcohol. The atmosphere is cool and relaxing. We hit it up at least 2x/week when vacationing on Hatteras.

For a year, I wanted to try this place. And I finally did in September 2025. I almost hate to write this review because I really do support local places in the Outer Banks. Maybe it was just a bad day. But I spent $16.00 on a small container of vinegar coleslaw (not good) and small container of loaded potato potato salad and a quarter pound of ham. The ham was delicious. I must say, it almost was like fresh ham cut to order. But the vinegar coleslaw was horrible. All you tasted was this bitterness, and a horseradish taste. Not to mention the color was off putting and everyone who tasted it at the house did not like it. The potato salad had this weird color as well to the potatoes. They were gray. And had way too much sour cream. The look of the potatoes were unappetizing, and they were hard and cut weirdly and no one liked them as well. It was very odd when I first walked in. Oddly quiet and weird. But the girl who greeted me was very nice. They do have a wine tasting. And I think small plate tasting on a Thursday night, which is rather expensive. Especially for people on a budget, but they seem to draw the crowd. Maybe I just caught them on an off week and I will give them another shot next time I visit. Please consider this review as constructive criticism. Because I want you to be around year after year. I am always willing to give it a second try. By the way, they have a cute little bar in the corner that serves wine and beer, which I will also try next time when I have more time to hang out. To be honest, if I had the energy, I would have brought the salads back and got a refund. That's how much we all did not like them. But we were just too tired to go back. Due to the niceness of the staff, the cleanliness of the place and the tasty ham, although I did not like the salads which I really went there for, I will always try it again. As someone who is way too busy to sometimes even make sandwiches on vacation, I love to have a deli nearby so I don't want my review to discourage you but maybe also encourage you to try it and see what you think.
Fantastic food and very kind owner and staff! My husband and I had the C&C sandwich (turkey & ham) and the Rueben. Both were delicious!!! We have found another favorite and will visit every time we are in the area!!
