“Ate there on my birthday. May 22. Food was great. I had the sheepshead and my husband had the oysters. Chloe, our waitress was wonderful. She treated us to a bowl of the famous chowder and chocolate cake. We loved it so much until we stopped on the way to the ferry and bought some frozen. Everything we ate was perfect..”

They are well priced, the staff is incredibly friendly, and the restaurant is clean with a fun atmosphere. Buxton Munch has been our favorite lunch stop for many years and is consistently our most recommended eatery on the OBX.”

“Located at the north end of the Village of Avon, this small shop has great coffee, friendly service, and a casual, greeting atmosphere. The barista is more than willing to accommodate special requests. There's even a small children's area with books to look at for young families. In addition to the traditional beach gear for sale, they have a small, but nice selection of books for sale, and a bin full of stickers, for those so inclined to collect them. Check it out! 5 smily faces... 😀😀😀😀😀”

Completely to die for! The perfect ending to an amazing meal. What truly made the experience unforgettable though was Angela and Rusty themselves. They were some of the kindest, most welcoming people you could ever meet and made us feel right at home the entire time. You can truly tell how much love and care they put into both the food and the atmosphere. If you’re looking for amazing food, wonderful people, and an all-around fantastic dining experience, Rusty’s Surf and Turf is a must-visit. We will definitely be back!”

We’ve been staying on Hatteras Island for about a dozen years and we’ve hit a lot of local restaurants in search of excellent seafood. Dinky’s tops the chart. Genuinely fantastic food AND staff.
