“Our wait to get a table was a long one as the place was packed… and it was totally worth it! We’ve been staying on Hatteras Island for about a dozen years and we’ve hit a lot of local restaurants in search of excellent seafood. Dinky’s tops the chart. Genuinely fantastic food AND staff. I have a feeling this will be an annual stop from here on out.”

“Atmosphere and service is always good. We usually stop in for breakfast. They offer a good variety at a good price. Today I ordered eggs over medium, grits, and white toast. The food came out just above warm. My eggs were cooked hard on the outside, but the whites were not cooked all the way through. I couldn't even eat the edges they were so underdone. I broke the yolks and ate my toast with those. The toast was not warm enough to melt the butter I put on it. The grits had no flavor but the consistency was good. I had to add 2 packs of butter (again the food was not hot enough to melt room temperature butter) and salt to season. Eggs were also unseasoned. I realize that's what salt and pepper are at the table for but normally food is seasoned while it's cooked. It's just not the same. I could've sent it back and asked for it to be fixed, but I am not a fan of food returning to the kitchen once it's been brought out.”

“Jordan was an amazing bartender and our good was great. However, when your main bartender is your service bartender, with no bar back, she cannot give her full attention to her patrons at her bar. No fault of her own...that's a management problem.”
