Did not like this place very much, food was nasty, floor and building were clean, but the food was just bad. Service was good however.

For some reason this restaurant shows as permanently closed but it's not. It's renovated and open. We came here a few years back and it was meh. We gave it another shot this week and it's still meh. Pricey for meh!!!

My husband and I visited this restaurant in September while on vacation. We based our visit on the ratings. The food was decent. Because of a shortage of help the setup for ordering was order at the register and they will bring it out. We understand shortages. My husband ordered crab soup. Lots of broth maybe one piece of crab. This is where the problems started. He went to the register and said I paid a lot for this and feel there should have been more than just a piece of crab and broth. I would like to talk to a manager. He was told by a very snippy young lady that the manager would do nothing. He pressed the issue until the manager was called. The person at the register was not friendly, helpful or nice. The manager came out and said - do you know how much crab costs?! Umm you offered it and you cut costs by just giving broth? Very poor way of handling the situation. She eventually gave him more soup to go. I rated this low because of the way this was handled, the lack of ability to handle a customer concern/problem. Everyone is short staffed. Everyone is experiencing supply shortages. That is NO excuse to treat your customers poorly.

The best food on Hatteras Island. The seafood was perfectly prepared and the best hushpuppies ever. They have perfected handling of short staffing. Ordering at the register allows the lone server the ability to get food out as fast as it's prepared. The cashier/bartender was wearing many hats and helping with drink refills. I highly recommend, it is worth any wait.

Beautiful views, so friendly, and everything we tried was incredibly delicious. Favorites were the crab stuffed mushrooms, fried scallops, the crab cake, the crab bisque, and the fried oysters. This is our favorite!

The QD is *the spot* on Hatteras! Everyone is so kind and the food is incredible. Really good vibes. Extra shoutout to the team for giving us a ride from Billy Mitchell airstrip so we could enjoy a meal here.

I had the fresh fish which was mahi mahi and it was phenomenal. The hush puppies are really good to. Will definitely come back. Service was a little rough but that's every where these days.

The Hatteras chowder was not good like it used to be. Almost all celery and potatoes, and a very small bowl for $13. Two bowls of soup, a salad and a so-so crabcake sandwich took over an hour and was $65. Staff is very friendly, will return again next time and hope the quality improves to where it used to be.

Went with my family while on vacation in Frisco Beach, great family restaurant. I got fried oysters, and they were cooked to perfection, grandkids got chicken tenders, and they loved them.
