Vicious Fishes Taproom & Kitchen

I have been to this place a few times. The food is really good. However, the last few times i have went we walked in for a table for 2 and told over an hour wait. Both times there were hardly any people waiting and there were about 5 empty tables they could have sat us at. Even the outdoor patio out back had over 10 empty tables. Seriously need to retrain staff or hire adults instead of children.

Gave it another shot and will be lowering food rating. I ordered fish and chips could of sworn the fryer oil was old. Got home and felt sick to my stomach. Also the drink i ordered was drowned out with cheap syrups. Probably will not be coming back again. Lastly and update on the response that I never saw totally wrong. I own a restaurant as well and i know the troubles of seating, waitlist and reservations but my last experience was lack of experience from your staff as all of them at the front had to be 18 or younger. You had 10+ tables open on the patio literally and more open througout the restaurant.

With such a small lunch crowd, I was blown away by the extremely slow wait service. Maybe they need to hire more servers because mine took forever.

You definitely come here for the beer not the food. They mislabeled the burger “Hometown Favorite”. Should have been called the “Undercooked and Greasy Burger”’. I chose brussel sprouts as my side because I really like them. However these were flavorless. I guess at least the food came out quick. Probably too quick. I would have preferred a little more time on my burger and brussel sprouts. Both were undercooked.

Thankfully not all was loss. The beer was pretty good.

This restaurant used to serve wonderful food, but has recently cheapened the entrees such as a ceasar salad with no shaved parmesan and upon request was given the parmesan sprinkles from a can. The salmon crunch salad no longer has sesame sticks, but instead cheapened the $18.00 salad with croutons and a smaller portion of lettuce with a tiny piece of salmon and a scoop of avocado as if it was ice cream instead of slices... So very disappointing. Price is way to high for what you now get in exchange

My family went there for diner on 11/30/2024 we pulled in to parking lot and smelled weed are server reeked of weed we placed order first was my 2 year old grandson then the reast of us sever was bad and all food came out except my grandsons his came out 3 minutes before we where ready to leave worst expenses and will not return i will be telling socal meda ,friends and family to stay away from their and talk to local police to check this place out for illegal drug use and posable sells

I did not get the order right two times in the salad was brown on the ends the service was slow and I finally got my burger when my wife was done eating. It used to be a good restaurant but not anymore

Had a large party of 12 and everything was great. Food/Drinks came out in a timely manner. Highly recommend Vicious Fishes of Fuquay for all large parties.

Absolutely love coming here, never have had a bad meal. The staff are friendly and warm welcoming. Especially Tyler the GM, Chloe and Caitlin behind the bar and Eric one of the waiters. Great place.

Huge disappointment Ordered omelette with a biscuit gravy side and potato hash. Everything cold to touch and potato hash was just like cut up potatoes… nothing “hash” about it. Gravy looked coagulated like it sat under heat lamp. Husbands “ toast “ was not toasted or buttered. No butter on table either in case that’s how they serve it. The caprese app was good. Server was great. I have been here 3 times now and 2 out of 3 have been a bummer food wise. Have always enjoyed our servers. The beer is good and atmosphere is always fun. Food should be hot.

Best Slaw in Wake County. Wow the Varina with Extra Pickles is the Jam. Lacey and Evan are the best
