Fannie Cakes Cafe Reviews
My first time visiting, I ate inside and got the salmon bowl it was pretty good 8/10. Only complaints I have is no salt and pepper on the tables or available to put on meal. The salmon was good but grits and eggs could use salt and pepper.
My first time visiting the cafe and I had the pancake platter. 10/10. I have never had a breakfast that was that tasty! The eggs were amazing. 11/10
Fannie Cakes has the BEST food!! Breakfast never misses , every bite feels like home. And that Sweet Potato Cake? It does it for me every single time! I’m super excited about the new brick-and-mortar location coming soon . definitely a staple for the Gastonia community!

Fannie Cakes Cafe, located in Gastonia, is a popular restaurant known for its delicious breakfast options. The grit bowl, which comes with a cooked egg and a savory salmon patty, is highly recommended. Many customers can't resist ordering an extra salmon patty because of its rich flavors. When mixed with butter and salt, the grits become a perfect match for the salmon patties. Some customers suggest that replacing one scrambled egg with three would be even better.
The cafe offers a pumpkin spice cake for dessert, which is very popular among visitors. Parking can be tricky since there is no street parking or an attached lot, so customers often have to park across the street in another business's lot.
The homestyle breakfast, including two eggs, salmon grits, and raisin toast, is another favorite. The salmon is cooked just right, and the creamy grits are loved by many. The eggs and raisin toast are also special, with flavors that stand out from regular options. Visitors also praise the stuffed French toast, shrimp and grits, and the quiche. The staff, especially Austin, is known for friendly service and making guests feel welcome. Overall, Fannie Cakes Cafe is a great spot to enjoy a hearty breakfast when in Gastonia.
