As soon as I walked in I was confronted with an individual having a disagreement with someone at the bar. Only there for 30 maybe 40 minutes and the Dj disregarded what people requested only to play an offensive song to those that patronized his business. I would advise people to have discernment when patronizing this business. We as blacks need our on places to patronized without feeling offended.

Stopped by on a whim, Friday afternoon. Inviting atmosphere with plenty of bar games. Friendly, attentive staff, good live act, and great drink prices. Will definitely return!

A Taste of the Wild West in Gastonia: My Take on the Double Barrel Saloon
The Double Barrel Saloon in Gastonia offers a unique and spirited escape from the everyday. From the moment you walk in, you're greeted by a distinct, old-school charm that feels both genuine and welcoming. The rustic décor, complete with its Western-inspired touches, creates an atmosphere that's perfect for unwinding and enjoying a good drink.
What truly stands out at the Double Barrel is the friendly and efficient service. The bartenders are knowledgeable about their craft and always ready with a smile and a suggestion. Whether you're a fan of classic cocktails or looking to try something new, they'll take good care of you. The drinks are well-made and reasonably priced, making it a great spot to enjoy an evening without breaking the bank.
Beyond the drinks, the Double Barrel has a comfortable and laid-back vibe. It's the kind of place where you can easily strike up a conversation with fellow patrons or simply relax and soak in the atmosphere. It seems to attract a diverse crowd, all looking for a good time in a unique setting.
If you're in Gastonia and looking for a bar with character, friendly service, and a touch of the Wild West, the Double Barrel Saloon is definitely worth a visit. It's a refreshing change of pace and a place where you can truly kick back and enjoy yourself. I'll certainly be back!

100% the WORST bar i’ve ever been to. I went a couple weeks ago and heard the bartender ask a CUSTOMER how to make a margarita. Was also watching her and noticed her doubles were poured in one ounce jiggers twice. when a legal double in nc is 3 ounces. not two. Tried again after a month and the bartender this time took our drink order then proceeded to flirt with any and every guy that came up and made their drinks first before ours. absolutely ridiculous and horrible service

The crowd is hit or miss so far. We only go for Karaoke and the KJ is professional and attentive.

I went there the first time and it looked like people were doing drugs outside, there was a tournament going and the most unorganized mess of a tournament I have seen, and the "bartender" , I could not tell the difference in her or the staff (that is how little she was "tending" bar). I gave it a second chance and it was free pool night. There were homeless looking people and what looked like tweekers. People looked like they were on drugs even worse that time. Any reputable pool player would never go there, not sure why it is a "pool hall" because it sure it not a good bar. The drinks are either watered down, or the ice is half melted in the cocktails. I will never go back there. It does not feel safe at all. The tables look nice in pictures but there was one table the lights were burned out on and the felt does not play well at all the rails are dead, and there is junk all over the tables. Brind a vaccum cleaner if you plan on playing in a tournament.

All I know is my daughter is there right now for her birthday and she’s having the time of her life. It’s not that crowded and her buddy is singing “ Whiskey glasses “ really off key. so thank you for rocking !

Haven't been in awhile since new owners took over so decided to give them a try. Wasn't busy so thought would be ok. Guess they had a new bartender and bless her heart but she was slow as molasses on a frosty morning. Took so long to get one drink and then like forgot us. Paid finally and left.

No house liquor. Bartender can only do one thing at a time. Very slow service. Wasn't even busy.
