I really wanted to like this Japanese food. I don't eat sushi SO this rating is on the Hibachi menu. The rice is rice, it's fine. But, there is some FUNKy tasting glaze on their vegetables & meats in the Hibachi. I tried it last year & wasn't impressed so I tried it again today, thinking maybe it was just me having a bad day. Nope. Not me. It is the food. I'm glad someone likes them, they've been around awhile But for Japanese Hibachi I'll never get it anywhere but Sake. Or in a rush; Sakura.

This place is absolutely wonderful, i would completely ignore all these negative reviews. They clearly do not know good food when they get It ! It is Truly the best meal everytime I go, and their sushi/rice is top tier. Please don’t ever close 💓💓💓💓

Best Mexican restaurant in town!!

I wish I could give y'all a great review. But I wasted 56.00 dollars of my money. It was the worst meal ever. We are still not sure what the steak that was ordered was. Everything except for the salad was full of sugar, and the tofu was nasty old.

I have eat here often and had always had great service and food UNTIL I came in for a late lunch (2:30)Waiting to be seated, a man (not a gentleman) rushed up and said that we couldn’t be served because they were closing for lunch. When I questioned why it’s posted that they close at 3:00. He then very rudely stated that the kitchen closes at 2:30 and they have to eat too. Well maybe you should post that information correctly instead of being so rude to what use to be a loyal customer.
A successful establishment should know better.

Our order was wrong, food was way overpriced for the lack of quality. The sushi is like something from the gas station. I had the chicken wings as an appetizer and they were as tough as leather...way over cooked and full of cooked blood and marrow. The rest of the food was bland and cold. Never going back.

Love this spot! I love the chicken and shrimp hibachi combo. My husband always switches up what he gets but always enjoys his choices! The service here is wonderful as well and we have never had a bad experience. A must try!

JPS House is hands-down my favorite sushi spot around here. Their Forest Roll is my obsession! The jalapeño in it gives the perfect little kick, and it’s honestly one of the best rolls I’ve ever had.

Their sushi is always fresh, flavorful, and way better than anything else in the area. Every visit is consistently good, and the quality never misses.

If you’re a sushi lover, you have to try JPS House. You won’t regret it!

The food was quite flavorful, however, the sushi was a bit mushy. If I would change anything about the sushi it would be to have slightly more dense sushi rice. Other then that, the flavors were very nice!

First time trying to eat here and put an order in online. Canceled my order and went to a place I was more comfortable with. The hostess Needs to work on their customer service skills. I felt really rushed and uh huh was hose they responded to everything.

If you’re gonna charge $20 for a plate of food, then you should have some good customer service as well. The only reason I didn’t leave a one star review. It’s because I haven’t had a chance to eat here yet.

Fried rice was nothing morn than white fluffy rice with soy sauce, chicken was great, veggies was cold & soggy, salad was so little & an ounce literally of watery ranch.
Was not impressed, ceiling was covered in dust, while exiting my table, I glance over and needlessly to so say the kitchen door was in need of scrubbing, VERY DISAPPOINTED

Good lunch specials on sushi. Service was good. Food was tasteful and served in a good manner. Was not displayed as Art as in many sushi resturants, but was served as a cut roll and sashimi ready to eat with necessary condiments. Excellent for the price.

I love sushi, normally we drive to Cowfish, but we live in Lake Wylie so a South Park trip isn't always in the cards during the week. IMO, JP's is the best sushi restaurant in Gastonia. The portion sizes are good, the prices are in line, and the service is consistently good.
