I've been here twice, and both times the staff have been extremely attentive, the food has been absolutely phenomenal - specifically both the chicken and the filet hibachi lunch special - and the restaurant always feels very clean. I will happily be coming here for another meal!

The hibachi was aweful. Burned flavor to the shrimp steak had a simlar burn. Sushi was fine. Service was lack luster, and the waitress was pretty rude. My daughter didn't eat any of her birthday meal, and they didn't even ask if everything was alright.
Bathroom was clean though.
Wouldn't recommend.

We checked this out for the first time and really enjoyed it… Amelia was a great server, very friendly and on top of it, and the food was really good. One of the best fried sushi rolls I have had in a while, we will definitely be back.

Shout out to the gentleman with brown hair who was our server didn’t get his name but his customer service was phenomenal, we’ve never had a great server like him! We love the volcano roll!

Excellent food overall. Son kept raving about how good the chicken fried rice was, Pad Thai was delicious, Hibachi shrimp was perfectly cooked and delicious as well. We got take out so can't comment on the atmosphere but the service was nice when picking up. Might become our go to.

Don't normally like to leave bad reviews. We drove 30 minutes, upon arriving a gentleman standing there with the door open, arms crossed (kitchen staff or manager idk) sees us pull up, get out the car and rudely tells us "Closed...", Oh okay... I'm sorry we didn't know. "What time do you guys open? ". Proceeds to step aside and looks at the door sign behind him, no words. *4:30pm. We were 15 minutes early, which I get. But how about you show some politeness next time to your customers? Won't bother coming here again.

Walked in to several dirty tables, was not busy maybe 3 tables sitting. After being sat, and ordering, my husband got his sushi roll, I ordered teriyaki chicken, the chicken and sauce tasted old, not to mention hot chicken served over cold vegetables not cooked at all. I of course couldn't eat my meal, the server Anna offered to take it back to be heated more however I will not send food back. I see it as if the kitchen can not prepare it properly the first time I have no trust in them. The lettuce in the salad was swimming in water, not appealing at all, the miso soup was lukewarm. We had stopped going due to service and food, thought ok it's been a few months will give it another try. No after today I can spend my money elsewhere, the $30.00 paid for a meal for 2 was a waste of my hard earned money. I truly don't know how they are still in business.

Food is good but the price for quantity is lacking severely. I paid $27 after tip and tax for chicken and steak hibachi and there was very few veggies and not a lot of steak or chicken. Also, the steak was ordered medium rare and was medium well when I received it. For very little good food options in Gastonia, it’s okay, but not amazing. Also, the volcano roll I got last week was very fishy.

I really wanted to like this place but the fish is cheap and you can tell it is not fresh. I’ve been a fisherman for 15 years and I know what third rate fish looks like. If it’s raw it can get pretty sketchy. However the waitress I had was very polite. I won’t be a returning customer but she was very professional.

Long time Sake express fan and this was the first time trying JP's. Food tasted much fresher and quality seemed more on par with a fancier Japanese steakhouse rather than a fast food chain. Definitely our new go to for japanese food. Customer service was also great with very friendly staff, including the two gentlemen making the sushi behind the counter.
Amazing!
