Fabulous restaurant! The service was excellent, the food was very good but not exceptional. I ordered a vesper cocktail and they had no Lillet Blanc which is a main ingredient so I ordered a Manhattan straight up which was very good but it came with maraschino cherry like what you would get on a sundae. There are better choices in cherries. We were also surprised they never offered a sommelier to help with the wine selection. We are snobs when dining and our expectations are rather...
Excellent service today. Just a girls luncheon today. The ambiance was superior. I've been there several times. It never disappoints. Feeling like I'm in France! Food was good. Typically don't care for French cuisine, as there are too many sauces. The food today... seafood crepe was excellent. I was able to pick through the crepe and sauce. Flavor of the seafood...mostly shrimp and salmon was excellent.
Outstanding experience. We had driven from Raleigh to have lunch. David, the server, could not have been better? Attentive, competent, informative. Answered all questions. Will definitely go back. Lovely house and grounds.
