Summer Dominican Restaurant

The food was terrible. I got my name with yellow rice and gondolas. The rice is not yellow and the pen tasted refrigerated. It looked refrigerated did not look fresh at all and I’m so mad cause I spent $27 for this.

Any gas station has better food offerings than the Dominican 🥪 and 🌭 we tried. I try to always support small Latino businesses but after eating here I am questioning myself. It was so empty and without any character that I didn't want to risk it with the meat but man I messed up. A toddler can prepare better 🥪 and 🌭, please remove those from your menu. You even made my companions start their 1st reviews. Dominicans should have some flavor, lo siento mucho señores. I hope this is not what Dominican food really tastes like.

The food was anything that can be made at home and was not worth the money. I could've ate 3 of the sandwiches and still be hungry. The server was decent but the environment was all dirty. Even the sink wasn't sinking 😂

I was really looking forward to try this food, seeing how all of the other reviews stated it was outstandingly good, but it disappointed me. All of the meals had their prices raised by unnecessary amounts. I ordered the Dominican style hot dog, trying to get rid of my hunger, but the thing was so small my baby brother could finish it without getting full. The sink wasn't even in one piece, and I had to use toilet paper to clean my hands. Do not eat here if you want to have a good day. 😔

My daughter and I stopped in for lunch today at this restaurant, and I’m still thinking about the food hours later. I ordered the steak dish while my daughter had the chicken stew, and of course, I had to try both! The flavor was unlike anything I’ve ever had before. Each bite had the perfect balance of spice with just a hint of sweetness.

The portions were generous. We both ended up with leftovers to take home, which is always a bonus. I wish I had thought to snap a few pictures, but honestly, I didn’t think about it.

We also grabbed a dessert to try later, which we’re really looking forward to. Elvis, the owner, was fantastic. He took the time to explain each dish and what it came with, and his friendly attitude made the experience even better. Great service is rare these days, and he definitely made us feel welcome.

I’m already planning my next visit. I can’t wait to try the oxtails and pork shoulder next time. Highly recommend!

Let me tell y’all ! I stumbled upon Summer Nights while searching for Dominican food in the area. BOOM !

I ordered a side of tostones, steak with rice and peas, brown chicken stew with red beans and rice, and a mango smoothie. A childhood core memory was unlocked when I took a bite of the rice. I had an Aunt Miriam who would throw down in the summertime while we enjoy the pool. The side salad was also bomb & I got to sample sweet plantains. Listen ! Game changer! All of the flavors complimented each other and I love how the smoothie maintains its base flavor. It’s not too sweet and it’s not overpowering. It’s very refreshing. This location has very authentic vibes, and the food review almost didn’t make it because the aromas were too enticing and I was ready to EAT! Make sure y’all show love and pull up!
