First time here. Wasn't sure how the pizza would be and I was very surprised. I'm from Chicago so finding good pizza is a challenge outside of Chicago. I recommend this place...very good food!!!!

This was my first visit to Up North Pizzeria, and all in all, it was a good experience. The pizza is good. It is not mind-blowing, but it is a solid product for a fair price. The server was young and a little inexperienced, but sweet & more than capable of bringing a couple of sodas & a pizza. I was a bit hesitant after all of the negative reviews I saw, but I thought it was a solid experience, and I'll certainly be back to try the pastas.

My recent experience was deeply upsetting and unacceptable. The staff displayed blatant racism toward members of the Black community, including using offensive language and creating an unwelcoming environment. This type of behavior is completely unacceptable in any establishment. What made this worse was the lack of empathy or genuine accountability from the management. While they claimed to investigate the matter, their response lacked sincerity and failed to address the gravity of the situation. I would strongly caution anyone, especially those from marginalized communities, to think twice before supporting this business. No one should have to endure such treatment in 2024—or ever. I hope the restaurant takes real steps to educate their staff and create a safe, respectful environment for everyone.

It’s had a fantastic experience at Up North Pizzeria! The pasta I ordered was absolutely amazing—perfectly cooked and bursting with flavor. I was so caught up in enjoying my meal that I forgot to take pictures of my kids’ ravioli and pizza, which looked delicious as well.
The customer service was wonderful; the staff was incredibly patient with my indecisiveness and made some excellent suggestions for what to order. I truly appreciated their friendly demeanor and attentiveness. I can’t wait to return and try more of their menu!
We used to go to UP North quite frequently in their old location. We loved the staff and live music. It was always bustling and food was good. Was hesitant about the move across the street because it just wasn’t the same atmosphere. They had just reopened and were working out the kinks. We figured we’d let them get into a routine and try it again after a couple months. We went on a Friday evening, walked in and was never greeted with a hello or welcome or sit where you like. We sat at one of the tall tables by the bar - again no one acknowledged us. We were the only ones other than a guy sitting at the bar and a couple in the other room. (Again a Friday evening that was always full when at old location). After about 5 minutes the lady from the other room came to get her own menu. The girls stood behind the bar just talking. We waited another 5 minutes and finally left and never heard a word as we walked out. We swore we would never go back, but decided to give them another try again tonight after a few months. Again, a Friday evening. The place was empty. There was live music and he was great! He was the only thing great about the place. Two other couples came in while we were there. Pretty sad for a Friday. The staff sat at the back table eating their own food and playing on their phones in between ordering and delivering. The quality of food went down greatly since the old location. The staff have no personality. I wouldn’t waste your time.
