Ready when they said, very nice staff, delicious barbecue. Conveniently located as we passed through on our travels! Only thing we could have used a footnote for was 'gravy.' May need to remind some what that means in Eastern North Carolina! ??? We weren't sure if it was chicken gravy or the awesome vinegar hot sauce. Being offered chicken gravy on barbecue didn't compute so we just declined. (But some of the vinegar hot sauce on the side would have been awesome!)

Wilber’s Barbecue is the best barbecue I have ever had. I ate Theo pulled pork, honey mustard wings, and vegetables, and everything was fresh and delicious. I will definitely eat here again.

The sign on the highway says it was voted #1 best bbq in NC and I truly hope that’s not the truth, cause I couldn’t imagine it gets much worse. I doubt it’s even the best bbq in Goldsboro. Ate the bbq, wings, cole slaw and potato salad - all of it was sorry. Prices are high for no good

If you want a classic look without the fake modern renovations and great fresh chicken and BBQ then check it out. The service from the waitress to the hostess was on par with Chick filet. The hostess was told by our waiter it was our first time at wilbers. The hostess came back over after we ordered and offered a tour of the "pit" where the magic happens. The extra mile was really nice. The water was the best restaurant water I have ever had. If course with pellet ice! I am sure that clean water makes great sweet tea.

We found the restaurant by the billboard off the highway. It smelled so good when we walked in except the waitress wanted us (my boyfriend and I) to step to the side and wait to be sat when there was a couple behind us who she sat immediately. Not sure why that happened because our “party” was the same exact size. The fried chicken was so good but I initially wanted the bbq baked chicken and gravy but they were out. I’d recommend the 1/4 chicken plate, black eyed peas and cabbage. The hushpuppies were so soft and fluffy.

Food and service were great. Have been to Wilbers several times over a couple of decades. Always good, old time N.C. BBQ. Facility is dated and old time. Not a bad thing, but aged.

Classic, old school eastern carolina barbeque cooked over oak coals! Located right off HWY 70. Scratch made Southern sides, highly recommend the collards and chicken pastry! Service was fast and attentive (Michelle took care of us). Requested a pit tour, of which they were more than happy to accommodate! Willis gets 5 stars for his hospitality, knowledge, and passion for this craft! We took orders to go as well as dined in. Definitely will be repeat customers!Kid-friendliness: Our 9 year old was completely happy with the menu choices and during the pit tour, Willis answered any questions she had!

Wilber's has been around for a long time and for good reason. The bbq is exceptional. I had the beef brisket sandwich and my wife had the pulled pork. Both were delicious.

Food was cold on arrival. They were out of ribs and failed to let us know when we sat down. Only good thing there is their hush puppies. Also their menu prices does not match the actual price they give you.Probably the worst BBQ place in Goldsboro
