Visited in October 2014. I was prepared to drive past the brewpub without visiting because I had their OBX Beer the previous night and found it dreadful. However, my better half persuaded me to give it a chance, so we stopped by. Initially, I thought I could just pick up some beers to go and continue on my way, but it turned out that you have to purchase either a 6-pack or a 1-liter bottle. Eventually, I was convinced to try a flight. Most of the brews were German-inspired and somewhat lackluster. The standout selections were the American-style beers. The sausages, however, were excellent. In conclusion, it seems they excel more at crafting sausages than beer. The service also had a distinctly German feel.

Closed with no signs of renovations occurring. Very disappointed. This was the oldest microbrewery in NC. :/

Say farewell to an OBX favorite! As of 9/5/23 the current owners have posted that they have no plans to reopen the brewery/restaurant due to extensive renovations required. I have no idea who or where the beer is being brewed but it is still available in various locations on the OBX.

Great beer, great sausages. Where can you go to get a flyte of sausages. Very dog friendly. ? A lot of things for kids to see. Hurry and open up.

This is not the Weeping Radish we all knew and loved. It has been sold and is reportedly undergoing a major make-over (?) and is take out only on Friday, Saturday and Sunday. The new owner claims it will reopen for dine-in sometime in 2023. So if you were planning on stopping off on the way to OBX to relax after the drive and enjoy a great lunch, well, it ain't gonna happen unless you want to get it to go. Not sure if the quality of the beer and sausage is the same, will update when I find out.

Disappointed that when she'll says they are open, they really aren't. Stopped by to buy beer for the weekend checked Yelp to see if they are open. Pulled off the road and parked. Got out. Saw the people inside working. But I guess they decided they didn't want to sell their inventory. No sale for me. Nor, the other guy that pulled I to the parking lot in my way out. Just too bad these small businesses choose to not keep their doors open for selling their goods. Just too bad.

If you find yourself on Caratoke Highway 158 in your way to the Outer Banks of North Carolina, you cannot miss this gem! This German inspired microbrewery and butchery served up the very best Reuben I have ever tasted and the Black Radish beer was also a winner! After just one visit, this is my new favorite place!?

We stopped in mainly because I love great German....thanks to my parents❤. We love the sausage can't say enough about the craft beer. Everything was tasty. I though the sides of kart were very small put into a ketchup/ mustard ramekins. Brenda was our waitress she was very kind and helpful.

Grab yourself a tasty sausage and some beer! No, I'm not kidding. The Weeping Radish is a very cool place to get some fresh farm made food a pint of something delicious (personally, I can't recommend the Black Radish enough). They're big on keeping everyone healthy and keeping the whole operation running, so do them a favor and wear your mask. It's not because they want to nanny you, but because they care--and you get the same sort of feeling when they're sitting you down and bringing you out your order. Service is friendly and familiar, like your favorite set of aunts wanting to make sure you have enough to eat. If you're checking out the many breweries in the OBX area be sure to stop by the place that also makes their own cuts of meat.
I’m so glad this place is still around. Their beer is exceptionally good, and their staff is so kind. We loved meeting their adopted goats too.

Enjoyed a flight and a plate of their homemade sausages. Very good. Great indoor and outdoor seating. Server was spot on with her recommendations. Definitely will go back to try their pastrami sandwich.
