Good pizza!!!, but expensive. The girl at the register was totally rude from the moment we walked in, which almost made us leave right away. But the guys in the back were very nice to my son. We played on the golf course, which was not kept up and included a dead bird, possibly for weeks, floating in a plastic pool on the course. Since the 90's I've passed by Little Italy hundreds of times and wondered if it is any good. I finally stopped for lunch. I got a sub (it was huge, delicious) and my friend got a stromboli (equally great). Nice folks. Great food. Incredible value. The vibe is definitely old skool, but it works. If you have never been, it's worth a drive from New Bern. Instead of just passing by, make it a point to stop. I'm glad I did.
This place has food and atmosphere that brought me back to the day. My sandwich was so big I couldn't fit my mouth around it and it had the nice crispy crust and the soft inside and all the wonderful flavors that I had forgotten even existed. So perfectly delicious! My son enjoyed his calzone as well. Above expectations. We will be going back there again.
