This evening was my first visit to this establishment for a celebration. While the food was good and our server pleasant, the evening ended in a disappointment after discovering a fly in the container I’d used to refill my water. I get it, mistakes happen, however after mentioning the mishap quietly to “both” our server and a manager, there was no apology!! Yep, as much as this angered me, I kept it classy and paid full price! I won’t be back!

i’ll start off by saying the food is excellent. Everything is expertly made and you will not be disappointed. The grouper dish was perhaps one of the better meals i’ve had in years. The fresh bread and pesto was top notch and a very welcome addition. Cocktails were decent and the bartenders friendly and helpful early on.
Dinner was so good we decided we had to try dessert which is where things went off the tracks a bit. The triple chocolate mousse was reminiscent of something you’d find at a harris teeter. Everyone knows the taste of that cheap frosting. My friend had key lime pie which was lackluster and without any of the tang which the dish is known and loved for. More like a custard or pudding. The coffee was dreadful- clearly brewed in a keurig or similar device. I hate to be a tough critic but if your entrees are over the $40 mark you’d best put in the effort to meet expectations of quality and taste even after dinner is over. This spot is great- the food is top notch. With some simple changes it’d be a 5 star review, but until then, i’d recommend getting dinner and then promptly asking for the check.
It’s also important for waitstaff/bartenders to be attentive to a customers needs throughout the service and not just for initial drinks and dinner service. If cards are on the table, take them promptly etc,

The service was good, the food was lacking. Not much flavor. For the price, I expected the food to be delicious, but it was just okay. The tacos from the appetizer were good.

3.6. 1618 West Seafood presents a fascinating dichotomy. The culinary execution was, without question, exceptional. Each dish was a testament to the kitchen's mastery of seafood, a veritable symphony of flavors. However, the ambiance proved somewhat discordant. The dining space, while intimate, bordered on cramped, leaving us feeling a touch too entwined with the adjacent table's first-date narrative. It's a minor quibble, perhaps, but one that slightly detracted from the overall experience.
The restored restroom, a nod to a bygone era, was impeccably clean, a detail often overlooked but always appreciated. Service was both attentive and knowledgeable, further elevating the meal.
While the price point is certainly a consideration, the quality of the cuisine justifies the expense. I would wholeheartedly recommend 1618 West Seafood for special occasions, anniversaries, or any moment deserving of a truly memorable gastronomic indulgence. A solid 3.6 stars.
Parking: Reservations on hollywood recommend.
Kid-friendliness: No, it's not meant to be.

We got the beef tuna and grouper. Ithink my grouper was too complex and there was cheasy meat wrapped around in a lettuce leaf. It confused me coz it said adobo and im filipino. Aint no adobo in there. My company enjoyed theirs tho. Food took too long too but it was busy. Had to order 2 rounds of drink for just waiting. We got drunk fore stomachs filled. Hope better next time!

Great attentive service and attention to customers. Beautiful space with nice ambiance and table space. Has the calamari which had a delicious slightly spice over red beans and was so good. Loved the ahi tuna with wasabi potato’s and slaw. One of the best tuna dishes I’ve had. Such nice place with exceptional service and dishes.
