Top spot for a cup of Joe and a delicious baked good! I visited this spot while in town for a soccer tournament. I ordered a black americano and one of the cinnamon muffins - both items were delicious! The americano was smooth and silky and the cinnamon muffin was buttery with just the right amount of cinnamon.
Visit A Special Blend if ever in the G'boro area - you won't regret it!
The coffee is extremely good along with the baked goods. The prices are also better than starbucks, so I'd always pick this place over a chain.

In town for a meeting a searched coffee shops near me and A Special Blend popped up. I was not disappointed. The staff greeted me with a “good morning” when I walked in. There was plenty of seating for staying guests. There was a low ambient level of music playing and there several food items displayed for purchase. The coffee was absolutely spot on. I also had a blue berry pond cake that was very moist and had a great taste without being too sweet. Absolutely wonderful coffee shop.
