Due to a fast food restaurant's mistake, I took a detour and found this shop. It immediately turned my frown, upside down! This shop is serious competition for the other popular cake shop in Greensboro. I dare say, it's even better! Try it, you'll like it!

Purchased some sweets on (I believe) Wednesday night for my wife and the Customer Services was horrible; not even a greeting upon entering the establishment. This is not the first time this has happened, so I felt the need to write this review. I have been a repeated customer for years now as I live in the area. In addition to the bad customer service, the Strawberry Red Velvet cake was subpar and so was the Pecan Bar. The Magic Bar was enjoyable if you're into heavy Coconut. I hope this helps bring awareness so that future patrons don't have the same experience on college road.

Been in here a few times, wouldn't say it's my favorite in the area but they seem to have a good customer base

Their lemon raspberry cake is the best!
Their caramel something cake is great as well.
I was not a fan of their carrot cake, but my daughter was.
I have to limit myself from going to their store. Iāve been there four times in one month thatās not good for the waistline, but I think about that lemon raspberry cake all too often, they are 24 minutes from me, but itās worth the ride.

We love going here for cake and cupcake milkshakes. Unfortunately they hardly have what they need to make the milkshakes or donāt have the flavor cake we come for. Which I understand that the cake flavors can very but chocolate seems like a big one to have at all times. We enjoy their cake so much we wanted to order one for our wedding cake. However both times we have been in person there isnāt anybody there to take our wedding cake order and were told to call to place order. We called today to place the order and were told that we needed to set up a consult with their baker/designer.

I ordered a Hummingbird Cake for a birthday and it was truly delicious - the āhitā of the party. I live in Maryland so it was delivered as promised 2 days before the party. Amorosoās might want to rethink the rosettes on the top of the cake for those going to be shipped; they were all smashed but we easily spread the icing on top. Nothing to detract from the deliciousness of the product.

I absolutely love this place. It's been my favorite bakery since even before covid when they had High Point location. It's sad that they are so far from me now, but I still go when I'm in Greensboro. Definitely try their tiramisu & chocamisu they are the best.
I took one of the stars off because when I took my friends there, the lady at the register took cash payment with a glove on and grabbed my red velvet bonbons with the exact same glove without changing them... We all know cash is dirty, right? Besides that, everything else was great.

This review is for the cupcakes only as I haven't tried anything else.
Their specialty cupcakes (pricey at 3.50) are the most moist cupcake I have tried in Greensboro (yes I have been to the joints on Battleground, Lawndale, and New Garden). Still feel this way each time. Flavors tried are Cookies & Cream, Butter Pecan, Black Forest, and Strawberry Red Velvet. I have tried other seasonal ones but the ones listed are a go-to. Most enamored with Black Forest and Strawberry Red Velvet. Moist, rich excellence.
Bakeries will vary by taste and preference. The cupcakes here hit me right and this is my first choice in the city for these.
Amoroso's is varied in selection and offers more than I have listed here. Worth a look. But those cupcakes...

I was there for a graduation. I had their cinnamon roll and pecan cupcake. Oh my. I tried to go back every day. I was there but couldn't. I'll most definitely go back when I'm in town next time. I wanted to bring some home if they made it. Lol.
This is definitely a hidden gem in Greensboro!! Recently I celebrated my 60th birthday and no one but Amoroso's could my cake. Friendly, professional and delicious. My dessert table was beautiful and left my guess wanting more.
Honestly I wanted to love this place but they seemed to want to get rid of us. The coffee was okay. The cake was really good. We wanted to love this place so badly. I was sad they weren't friendly to us. I did see them be friendly to other customers. Guess they just didn't like the look of my family.
They have the best cookie and cream cake. It is so good as well as the strawberry red velvet cake.
The tiramisu was OK. Definitely room for improvement. Also they donāt have fresh toppings for the cheesecake. What kind of bakery is this?
