Just moved to Greensboro, and we are thrilled to live so close to this place. It is just... BONKERS.

Not long ago, a friend brought a couple of loaves of bread from Augustino Gusto Bakery to a party. I was instantly in love! First time coming in to the bakery today. My love continues! It’s a tiny shop open just 3 days a week. I came on Saturday and bought a few loaves of bread (to take to a pot-luck party tonight) and a few things for lunch for my husband and I. We tried the mozzarella and tomato quiche ($15), the Spinach and cheese roll ($12?), and an apple strudel. Each was incredible. The spinach and cheese pastry had tons of the filling and was excellent at room temperature. We warmed up the quiche just a little, it was so delicious! Apple strudel was smaller but we loved it. All in total, three loaves of bread, 3 pastries, and a latte came to $79.05, including a tip. When I first came to Greensboro, I used to be so disappointed in the local bread options. Now I have a couple of options and can probably just cancel my bread subscription! (Yes, I was angry enough to order bread online lol!). The bread from this place is FANTASTIC. 10/10 highly recommend. The place also has a ton of outdoor seating on picnic tables (when the weather cooperates). I did see plenty of folks just chowing down in their cars because YES. They do have a parking lot in the back. The place has handicapped parking and a ramp… I LOVE THIS PLACE!

We had a coffee crunch gelato, honey pecan bar and a slice of key lime pie. All were delicious and the pie was the best I ever had.

My partner and I visited Augustino Gusto for the first time, and were immediately taken by the charming atmosphere and picturesque assortment of freshly baked goods. The berry tart was sweet and fresh, and the tiramisu was the best I’ve ever had. The prices are not cheap, but neither is the quality, and is very worth it. I am anxious to visit again.

I stumbled upon this place completely by accident and it has changed my life. I’ve never had anything bad here and my only complaint is 3 days is not enough days to be open when I have a serious addiction! It is quite pricey, but the quality is unmatched and it’s definitely worth trying if you’re nearby on a Wednesday, Saturday, or Sunday!

Augustino Gusto is the best bakery in Greensboro, bar none.

Take it from someone who has lived in San Francisco (supposedly where you can find the top bakeries in the United States) and has travelled extensively to France and Italy. Their products are top notch.

If you’re looking for the overly sweet desserts common in the south, this place is not it - their offerings are more elegant and European.

It’s an absolute hidden gem in the heart of the Triad.

Great croissant, cruffins and savory galettes. Best bakery we found for these items between Raleigh and Greensboro. Price depends on how many items you take home, we buy for the next couple of days. Most items we saw were under $10 each. The $10 item was a nice larger sized artisan bread.

Can’t go to Europe? No problem, just go to Augustino Gusto instead! Their gelato tastes like it’s been imported from Italy 🇮🇹
