Ava's Cuisine & Catering

This past Sunday I had a surprise dinner for my mom at the Gibsonville location and everything was awesome. I booked the private dining room which holds up to 40 people and it was a success. For most of my guests, it was their first time eating there and they loved it! The staff was very attentive, helpful and friendly. Everyone had a great time and it was well worth the money spent!

Great food! Pricey, but you can eat off the leftovers several times because the portions are large. I usually get either the oxtails or the turkey wings.

I was already familiar with Ava's because I happened to go to school with the owner. When we began wedding planning, they were the first option that came to mind! As we explored other options, Ava's was the best choice we could have made.

The website was very informative! There were multiple menu options including packages to choose from.

When we started the inquiry process, it was efficient and timely. As we got connected with the catering manager, Tameka, she was extremely helpful and informative in the decision making process. Along the way, we had a few challenges, but we were able to quickly resolve them together with good communication! She was definitely friendly and genuinely wanted our wedding experience to go well.

On the day of, the team showed up in a timely manner, looking professional! Everyone was extremely friendly! We specifically want to shout out Tiffany, who was especially helpful in serving us personally on our wedding day. She made sure we were fed and had plates set aside after the wedding.

The food was delicious and we got great responses from our guests!

Today was the first time ,My family and I ate at Ava’s (Gibsonville) food was on point!!!!!!!! I got oxtails with cabbage and yams, My husband got a steak with yams and collards. My kids got the kids chicken plate , one kid had collards, the other kid got yams. The only issue was the A/C was broken!!! It was hot, I was miserable!! We will definitely go back once the A/C is fixed!!!

This place is excellent. The portions sizes were great. My family of 4 ordered the spinach dip and the egg roll with collard greens as an appetizer. They were sooo good, and we had enough dip to take home for the next day, and that was just the appetizer. You only get two egg rolls though, so I'm glad we ordered the spinach dip based off the waitresses recommendation. I had the meatloaf, more collard greens, and the mac & cheese which was all excellent. The portion sizes were great and the service was great. Our waitress Selina was awesome and very helpful. My family will definitely be back again!

We are at Ava's Saturday and the food was good. The Mac and cheese and collard greens were really good. I will eat here again

This place was recommended by a friend and I was excited to try them out. My excitement was soon over once I got home. I was eating and found a piece of hair under my mashed potatoes. I say under because, I hate eaten some forkfuls. That next forkful ruined it for me. Someone's filthy hair. Pretty much wasted my money

Great Food and Great Customer Service

I love the food at this location everything by n is always fresh and flavorful. Only thing is the menu should be very clear. They have a pick two for $23 this includes two meats and two sides, however they will not allow you to get fish and salmon or fish and shrimp and nowhere on the menu does it specify that you cannot do that. If you get Mac and cheese they add an additional fee for the Mac and that isn’t specified on their menu either which can be frustrating when you’re expecting to pay the said price. Overall the food is really good. However that should be made clear.

They catered a reception for my daughter this weekend and I can’t tell you the times we were told how wonderful the food was. We had Nicole, Misty, and Delin for our dinner and they were so wonderful. It rained 3 separate times and they handled it so well. They helped me to calm down and reassured me everything was going to be okay and it was. They left everything so clean and packaged all the leftover food. I honestly can’t say enough good things. I wish I would’ve got pictures. I highly suggest the ribeye as well as the loaded baked potatoes… biggest potatoes I’ve ever seen! The price was substantially more affordable than other places I called. Highly recommend calling them!!

I reserved the private dining room for my birthday! It was our first time at the Gibsonville location. Our server was Selena and she was great!! The food was great!! The atmosphere was great!! Thank you for taking care of us!! We will be back!!

I really hate that I’m leaving a bad review. This was my favorite spot after church. But the last 3 times have been so disappointing. The last visit was the last straw when i trusted my order was correct and it was missing items and wrong food. I called and left a message with no response. The visit prior, i got Mac and cheese and it was mainly cheese and crumbled cornbread.

We were excited to try this new restaurant. We had checked out the menu and knew what we wanted. They were out of many of the items we were going to order; collard green eggrolls, beef ribs, oxtail, collard greens, cabbage, and more. We sat down at 6:40 after a 30 minute wait. We did not get attended to rigth away a significant amount of time passed before anyone even greeted us or took out drink order. Then had to wait for drinks to come forever after that. We didn't receive our appetizers until 7:40. Service was very slow. Even other customers were speaking up on our behalf to no avail. We only received 3 of the 4 of our meals at 7:55. We asked multiple times about the 4th meal. Others were done eating, After waiting 30 minutes before the last meal came out. Very disappointing experience over all. I don't know that we will return.

We enjoyed a wonderful anniversary dinner with five of our friends at Ava’s. Everyone in our party enjoyed their food. The pork chops were cooked to perfection, not at all dry! The fried fish has a nice breading with great flavor. Their Mac-n-cheese is bangin’…creamy but not too creamy. We can’t wait to visit again.

Wonderful food and staff, a must experience for NC natives and out of towners, nothing compares to Ava's! A1 without a doubt!
