This place used to be good but it seems to have gone downhill. Not sure what's changed but the yams were old and cold. The fried fish was inedible. Overall just not a great experience.

The Benz Boys have bright their food truck to our school twice and BOTH tones the food has been top notch! Fresh and delicious! Highly recommend!

Well, we chose to go here(hungry)after the A&T vs Campbell football game. We arrived around 5:10. The hostess was talking with a lady about her lost car or card. We waited patiently (first time customers). They continued their conversation. We took the menus in preparation to order. The ladies continued their conversation. My friend and I looked at each other and we both said let's go and we did. We were never recognized. Their conversation about a lost car or card lost Ben's Boyz at least sixty bucs. As African Americans we have to stop dissing, ignoring and disrespecting our own people. I see you!

The service was great. The young lady treated my wife and I with super respect. I appreciated that. The food was really good, the fried fish, yams and collard greens were great. The tenders were a little hard and the cornbread was a little burnt on the bottom. The atmosphere was okay. It was my first time there celebrating an anniversary, and I'll be back.

I love going to Benz Boyz black owned restaurant. They have fresh food that is well seasoned and cooked to perfection every time I visit. Plus, their cakes are delicious. The staff is always present when you walk in and the prices are fair. Nothing beats the bookstore space in the front of the restaurant. While your waiting for a take out order or after your meal you can shop for unique Afro-centric items.

I had a wonderful experience with Ben's Boyz! The grilled salmon was cooked to perfection—flaky, flavorful, and seasoned just right. The mac and cheese was incredibly creamy and comforting, true soul food, exactly what you want from a classic side dish. The potato salad had a great balance of creamy, sweet, tangy and savory flavors that paired perfectly with everything else. And I can't forget the sweet tea—refreshing and just the right amount of sweetness, tastes like my mama's sweet tea. The portions were generous. I'll definitely be coming back soon! Thanks, so much!

There is no wrong with Ben's Boyz restaurant, we came up from Virginia Beach to catch the Eagles/Aggies game and our best decision was this restaurant, my fish combination was OMG plus I got a side of those dang wings, not forgetting the pineapple cake and the tea/lemonade. Everything was incredible! We left with a smile and a full happy stomach. Almost forgot about the cornbread! YES

Ok, I’ve been a customer of this restaurant since they first opened the doors. And, for the most part, it’s a great place. But, lately the food has been way off. I was there a few weeks ago, ordered whiting and two sides of cabbage. Well, once I got home and opened up the bag, there was no cabbage; just collards. And, I don’t like their collards because they cook them with sugar. 🤮 now, I go there today and I finally get my cabbage. But, there’s no juice and they taste like they’d been cooked for like 20 minutes. They were literally hard as hell. Also, I ordered a combo platter of whiting & shrimp and I got whiting & chicken strips. And, I don’t eat meat!!! I’m not sure what’s going on in the little kitchen there. But, they really need to get it together before they start losing loyal customers…like myself.

I got the meatloaf, Mac, and cabbage. The cabbage could be a little more flavorful and the portions could be a little bigger. The food was really good overall especially the Mac and cheese!

Had the meatloaf. It was amazing! So were the chicken fingers. Great sauces!

The food today was very disappointing chicken tenders bland no seasoning the Mac was cold Cheese not melted best thing on the plate was the yams I just expected a lot more tik tok and more said it’d be better I spent 20 of my 30 minute break jjst to go support and the ball was dropped
