Such a cute shop! It was surprisingly roomy inside and all the desserts looked so beautiful I had a hard time deciding. The staff were SO friendly and helpful in deciding what to get and honestly the whole experience was 10/10. I got the peanut butter and sweet potato soufflé cheesecakes ?

This bakery is amazing for sit down desserts or take out cakes. Of course we love the cheesecakes in many varieties, but we adore the Blue Velvet cake and it is absolutely legendary in our family. We had a special occasion this past weekend and this cake was so fresh and delicious. Guests just raved about it and insisted on having seconds and bringing what was left to the after party. It feeds more than 30/40 people for sure. And there are blueberries in the batter to boot. They packaged it beautifully for travel. Love love love this bakery!

I’ve been living in New York for 45 years and in Greensboro almost three! I was referred, and I definitely did not like the plain New York cheesecake! Please remove the word New York from it’s name ..because it’s definitely not New York cheesecake (sorry). That lemon flavor that I immediately tasted made my head spin! Should be called sour lemon meringue cheesecake! Very disappointed and probably won’t return!

Visited Greensboro last month and just realized we'd forgotten to review Cheesecakes by Alex. We got two flavored cheesecake slices to go. Both were delicious and well worth the price per slice (which was less than many other specialty shops). Hope to pass through Greensboro again to try more flavors.
