I recently ordered from Da Reggae Spot in Greensboro. Here is my 2cents.
The barbecue jerk wings were excellent, with a smoky flavor and spicy glaze. The beef patties were also delicious. The crust was perfect, and the filling was flavorful and authentic.
I found the Jamaican Conch Fritters to be a bit overcooked, with an unexpected sweetness. The Sweet taste was okay..... It was just overcooked. Most disappointingly was the Ackee and Saltfish plate. The consistency was overly mushy, the inclusion of large cherry tomatoes was unexpected, and the cabbage was undercooked. Sidenote.....the rice and plantains were enjoyable.
While I will not be ordering the Ackee and Saltfish again, I would give them a second try and order something else. #GratuityAdded
I gave service a 2 Star because I ordered my food online and was given a 20-minute pickup time. It took them an hour and 3 minutes to prepare my food.

I ordered curry goat yesterday and it was as tough as Mike Tyson. After getting home and in my PJ'S I was told to bring it back with a receipt. No credit no refund. To pay over $20+ for food it should not be EXTREMELY TOUGH! My ordeal wasn't handed to my satisfaction. And by the way it's WAY TO EXPENSIVE.!!!!

A wonderful place to dine. The island music, island drinks and authentic Jamaican dishes make this place a real gem. The parking is a bit tight and their lot is small but if you are able to find a spot to go inside;you won't be disappointed.

The barbecue chicken was spicy, but not overly so, and very tasty. I did not care for the cabbage but my hubby and friend liked it. My hubby had the oxtails which he really liked. The chicken dish was a leg and thigh, with cabbage, rice and black beans and plantains. I have to say their plantains were very good. I have never liked plantains. These were the first ones I ever liked

I came in excited to try some new Jamaican-style food. Unfortunately, the service completely turned me away. When I walked in and tried to look at the menu, I was told to âgo outside and go to the other door.â I asked if I could just see the menu there, and they repeated the same thing without explanation. It felt dismissive, like my presence didnât matter. I went to the other door as instructed, and the woman there was on her phone. When I tried to speak to her, she seemed far more interested in her phone conversation and texting than helping me. After being ignored, I decided to leave. Very disappointing experience. I was genuinely looking forward to trying the food, but the customer service was unacceptable.

I rarely leave reviews, but this experience was bad enough that people deserve to know. I was told my food was ready, yet I still had to wait an entire hour. An hour. Whatâs the point of saying itâs ready if it clearly isnât? Thatâs either complete disorganization or straight up dishonesty.
The service was terrible from start to finish. No sense of urgency, no accountability, and absolutely no respect for my time. The manager was no help whatsoever, dismissive, unapologetic, and clearly not interested in fixing the situation.
If you value your time and expect even basic customer service, I would strongly suggest going somewhere else. Completely unacceptable experience.

My experience at Da Reggae Cafe was exceptional! The bar has great drinks, and the staff were pretty cool. Also i almost forgot to mention the DJ comes every Friday and Saturday
I would give them a -0 if that was even possible. They are very rude. I asked to speak to a manager. The manager wasnât even courteous enough to come speak with me. They told me that my order would be ready at 11:30 PM I got there at 11:45 PM and they told me it still wasnât ready. I got it at 11:59. I asked if for my wait since they made me come in the day before to make the payment of $42 if they would at least give a drink or something for my wait because this was something I was doing for my students for their lunch in which they would not get to enjoy at that time. The person at the counter went back to get the management and management refused and offered to refund me and keep the order that I waited extra time for. I will never visit this establishment again or recommend it to anyone ever.

The carrot juice was phenomenal, I also loved the beef & chicken patties, the chocolate cake, & the banana cake!
