Every experience at Elm St grill is always special and memorable! The food is delicious and perfectly prepared; the atmosphere wonderful(especially the gorgeous outdoor patio); and the owners we consider dear friends!
Service was good and wasn't busy. The glass of wine was vinegary (likely bottle had been open for a while. But the server graciously offered a switch to a tasty beer! Food came out extremely fast but was mediocre at best. Shrimp & grits looked as if it had been sitting under a heat lamp for a long time and was not that great (which made no sense considering how quickly it arrived after ordering). The black & blue burger was ordered medium rare and came very well done = dry. It was slow and we were starving because we both had not eaten all day so it was decided to not complain again. I requested truffle fries as the side with the burger but was told that was not an option- disappointing there isn't an up-charged side option available for them. The regular fries were good though. 2nd time trying this place and the first time it was extremely busy and an awesome meal and experience. This time was disappointing. Will still come back and try again the staff is amazing friendly and on top of things.
First time going to At Elm St. Grill. REALLY enjoyed it. Food was amazing and our server was wonderful. I don't know the last time we had a server make eye contact and smile and be so genuine. The food is so fresh. We will be back!
Rather disappointed. Food was really not good. Kitchen does not know how to prepare and cook lamb chops. Should not be on the menu given kitchen skill limitations. OMG-4 skinny lamb cops for $40??!! I get 8 ample lollipops across town for $46. Ordered medium. 2 were well. One was rare. One was medium. Very, very fatty--so not mush to eat from two of them. Also, bing, bang, boom--in and out in less than an hour on a Sat night special occasion--appetizers through desert. NOT really "dining". Entrees served a second after appetizers removed. I like that this eatery is owner-operated. I like the wait staff service. But that cannot overcome terrible food and being rushed.
4 people, the only thing we had that was really good were the Swedish meatballs for app. The filet was okay. Chicken marsala had grill marks that left an aftertaste of some type of cleaning agent. The swordfish was strong and overly fishy even for a person that enjoys many of the darker meat fish when prepared and cooked properly. The stir fry with salmon was mush with absolutely no taste except the sauce , albeit the broccoli crowns may be enjoyed by some as they were possibly just blanched and then thrown in for a few tosses before serving. Cocktails were fine and our server was superb. Easy in and timely service (actually quite fast if you wanted to linger over drinks), especially with elderly parents.
We had a lovely experience at this restaurant. The food was so very fresh and carefully prepared! They adjusted a meal to meet the needs of some dietary restrictions without hesitation. The staff was especially attentive. The prices were fair for the quality of the food and the manner in which it was prepared and presented.
Great place, went here for my anniversary and everything was amazing food was really good for a great price too. Would definitely recommend.
Amazing food .. great service and absolutely serene ambience. The hospitality of the staff is the best part of the restaurant. The food tastes really good and the portions are way more than you expect. Great place to enjoy a serene and amazing meal with friends and family. Highly recommended.
Elm street grill, most consistant restaurant in Greensboro. Terrific food, service and bar.
The atmosphere is very nice. The waitress and hostess were very nice! However, I had placed an online order. I placed it at 5:30 pm stating that I would pick it up at 6:30 pm. I arrived at 6:31. It wasn't ready, and the owner said that I'd never placed the order. I showed them where the money had been deducted from my account. The order was finally made, and I received it at 7 pm - 1.5 hours after it was placed. The hostess and waitress were so nice, but I didn't get a water while I waited or even free bread. Also, the grits with the shrimp and grits were runny. I've eaten there before, so I'm hoping that the bad weather made this an off night and an isolated incident.

Dinner with friends on the patio. A wonderful experience. Hot, but that up to nature. Great selection of vegetarian entrees for my wife.
Good food. The waiter was patient and answered all of our questions. The experience was nice
The supper on Valentine's Day was fantastic. A charcuterie board and wine were part of their special menu, which was followed by a delicious meal and more wine, a stunning Tres Leches cake with strawberries, and a dessert wine to cap out the evening. Excellent meal and service in a lovely setting. A small secret hidden away in the corner that we will undoubtedly savor once more in the future. For a nightcap, stop by the bar. Get dressed for this location. You'll like it!

Host/owner is always very friendly. Food is fresh and reasonably priced. Nice variety of food. Always enjoy coming here.
