Solid veggie burger! The basic black bean burger does have some bites that are spicy - in case you bring your mama or baby who hate spicy things.
They have chalk for kids to play with outside.

We ate here for the first time in a couple of years. This used to be our go to spot for fresh burgers years ago, then they lost their ABC permit and we stopped going. Who can eat a burger without a cold beer? We started going to Hops Burger Bar and haven't been back until last week. We were in town last week and thought we'd give it a try. They updated/changed the menu so my favorite burger was no longer available so I ordered the Back Porch burger. Lots of toppings but the burger didn't have a lot of flavor. My wife had the Diablo and said the same. She loved her sweet potato fries, but this should be about the burger. They do have their ABC permit now, but they had a very, very limited offering of beers and a few seltzers. The service was very slow and there were only two other couples eating while we were there. The diet coke in the self service drink machine was not working (only carbonated water) so my wife was bummed about that. We made them aware, but they didn't fix it while we were there. We'll be sticking with Hops Burger Bar in the future.

Tried this place for the first time today, 11/15/25. Didn't have to wait long, maybe 15 minutes. My patience, very much rewarded. I had two Carolina dogs, an order of onion rings and a fountain drink. The dogs were incredible. Each ingredient was fresh and generously loaded on the dogs. The onion rings were crisp and slightly sweet, no sauce/dip required. The meal, perfection. I'm looking forward to trying something new next time I visit!

Last time I ate here over the summer it was 5 stars and my burger and service were amazing... This time was a nightmare. I raved about this place to my friends and it met all our different dietary requirements so it was very disappointing to have such an awful experience.

They were out of numerous regular menu items (part of the reason we specifically chose to eat there). My vegetarian friend ordered the veg burger option which they later came to tell him wasn't available. Unrelated to the supply issue, they did accomodate his request for the veg burger to be cooked in a pan rather than on the grill which we did appreciate. I ordered a cider and they never bothered to tell me they didn't have it until I went up 15+ mins after ordering to ask for it and then offered a much cheaper alternative as a replacement.

We waited over mins for our food even though it wasn't particularly busy and the music was so loud and jarring it was not a comfortable wait.

The biggest issue of the evening: My friend who ordered a Gluten Free bun received a regular bun. The GF bun was on his wife's burger which was completely different. Thankfully I noticed the bun looked the same as mine before he took a bite, but this could have been an even worse evening for us if he had eaten it. We were tired and hungry enough at this point they just switched burgers rather than waiting for a remake because we had already been there waiting for a very long time.

If you can't properly execute the important dietary menu items, then don't offer them.

Food made fresh even at 12 o'clock midnight! Flavors DELICIOUS! Recommend calling ahead to avoid wait time! Will be back to try out other items on the menu!

Quaint little restaurant with limited seating. About 4 small tables inside. There are picnic tables outside. Very charming little eatery with big flavors. Onion rings are very good and so is the mac and cheese. Sweet tea is delicious. The beyond burger is also very tasty. The only problem here is parking. The restaurant next door does not allow parking there and will tow your vehicle. As far as I can tell the only spots to Park are on the street. I'm going to have to say that this place deserves another go.

Food was great and service. Outdoor and indoor seating. Indoor is smaller. I do believe people who come with a dog should sit at the table towards the back. We were sitting outdoors and a family with a very big dog sat at the table right by the door. The dog was right at the door. The dog is so big you knew the gender just by it standing. Everyone going in and out that door acknowledged the dog. We didn't want our food passing by the dog so we went indoors to eat. They were sitting at a table outdoors towards the back at first. It was a Saturday and our food take about a hour.

Was around UNCG and wanted a burger for lunch. Did a search and Emma Keys came up. It was a little over a mile from where I was. Ended up getting the swiss bliss burger, Cajun fries and a side of ranch for the fries. The burger was great. The bacon onion jam was so good and complimented the cheese and mushrooms. The Cajun fries had a nice flavor and the heat was not over powering. The ranch was a good compliment to the spice of the fries. It is a cool place and the staff was very friendly. I will be back to try some other burgers. They have a build your own as well. Check them out.
