Four of us have been coming here once or twice a year for two decades as a central place to meet up with old friends as it is centrally located between Charlotte and Raleigh. Unfortunately, the change from the DiValletto to Finial did not maintain the high standards of food quality and service we have experienced in the past. The "jumbo lump crab" soup had absolutely zero pieces of crab in it, and the flavor validated that it was nothing more than tomato bisque with 3 croutons, at $12.00. The seasonal salad had a good flavor, but there was so much dressing on it that it was spilling off the plate when brought to the table. We have always enjoyed a slow lunch here, being able to visit in a peaceful, beautiful setting. That was impossible, as the server literally came every 5 minutes and interrupted our conversation, tried to take our plates while we were still eating, and brought our check before we were even done. She was obviously in a hurry for us to leave. In twenty years, this was the only time we have been this disappointed. We agreed that we will now have to find somewhere else to meet, as it too much to drive 2 hours and not be able to enjoy the visit.

This was from my cousin about last night:
Just strange as all 3 meals different and equally nasty— not just not great, I mean nasteeeee! The server was about as rude as I’ve encountered in a long time.
She served the cake my aunt brought in the saucers (from cups) with spoons! No forks. Brought coffee after the dessert and no more spoons to stir with. My aunt asked twice if she remembered we had ordered coffee. She looked dead at her and said, “yea” and then asked if she could box up our leftovers. We said no. She stacked plate after plate after plate on top of one another and food came out the sides. When we got there, we’re prob only 5 tables occupied. We waited 15 min for them to break down a table for 20 in the mid section that had cancelled to make us one table. We asked twice why could we just sit anywhere else, hostess said No, this is where we were getting our table. There were other things too, just a strange surreal experience. Oh and she walked over and said “everything tasting wonderful?” And as my husband started to say something she said , “that’s good” and walked off!

After getting there, it took quite a while to even get water and even longer for a server. Although, when the server did get there, she gave us a full run down of the menu. I would say everything that we got to eat was pretty sweet some even overly sweet.

⭐ Birthday Lunch at Finial – Greensboro, NC ⭐ I had the pleasure of celebrating my birthday lunch at Finial in Greensboro for my massage, and it was such a treat! From the moment I walked in, the warm and inviting atmosphere set the perfect tone for a special day. The staff was incredibly friendly and attentive, making sure everything was just right. The food was absolutely delicious — fresh, flavorful, and beautifully plated. Every bite felt like a little celebration on its own. I especially loved how well-balanced the menu was, offering something for everyone while still feeling creative and elevated. Overall, Finial was the perfect choice for my birthday lunch. Great service, cozy ambiance, and amazing food made it an experience I'll definitely be coming back for!

Gave up on eating here always..and I mean always problems
Was a 1500 to 3000 f and b customer
Did go for 10 months duel to poor timing and service ..
This visit
Sat at my favorite table then
12 mins no one approached the table my companion finally got up and walked over to a waiter and asked if anyone was going to wait on us( note less than 20 people in restaurant at 7 pm )
We ordered 2 cocktails simple ones 20 min later still didn't have server said sorry problems ...
A server came with cocktails one was wrong..our food order 2 filets med rare took 25 mins we ordered apps they served them with entrees
The training or timing is horrible
Pleasant people
But will not waste my money again
And they never offer to adjust bill ...not the goal ..
But another horrid experience

Dined here last night with my wife for her birthday. Service was great, atmosphere was great, wine list was excellent and some of the food was spectacular.

My wedge salad with blue cheese came out with ranch on it, my scallops had a slight ammonia taste which means they were treated with a solution that makes them appear larger, which believe they were because I did not get sick. I should not have eaten them and sent them back. The garlic mashed potato's and mushrooms were excellent though.

My wife had crab cakes with fried green tomato's to start with and she said they were the best she ever had . Then she ordered shrimp and grits and the grits were not edible. They had some kind of ham gravy that was terrible.

We had dined here before a couple of years ago on New Years eve and our experience was excellent, food was incredible. This time it was not good at all, we won't be back again.

I do not recommend, eat at your own risk.

Server did not bring beverage, had to be reminded. Asked to bring dessert menu, had to be reminded. Very nice but distracted

I rated the value as poor because for two adults, our breakfast buffet (with the tip) was $70. I could have gotten the same breakfast for $12 at Cracker Barrel, and the sausage gravy would have been better. The value for other things on the menu is pretty good, I think. I was hoping for more entrees with meats and vegetables for Sunday after church, but there were only breakfast choices, the breakfast buffet, and a few sandwich options. I was disappointed. I was thinking it would have a full menu of meal options like Green Valley Grill and Print Works. Almost $30 for a breakfast buffet is too steep. I have to say that the grits and bacon were outstanding, but if I had seen the price for the buffet before I got it, I would have chosen something else off the menu. As far as we could tell, the buffet price wasn't listed anywhere. I guess if you have to ask, you shouldn't eat there.

The food was amazing and our waitress Asmeona was knowledgeable of the menu and made great suggestions! We will definitely revisit! The ambience was amazing as well.

This was my our 30th wedding anniversary lunch before we leave for the weekend. What can I say about Grandover. Best experience we have ever had. From the front desk, to the Finial. The dapper manager Shane was the most delightful person we have ever had. His energy and smile made this the most hospital environment we ever had. He is the reason we will come back and now possibly have our daughter look into the Grandover for her wedding in 2027. Lisa our server has a true passion for what she does and we will be back over and over because of these two. We hope Lisa and Shane stay at the Grandover forever. Thank you to all who made this so special for us and we will see you soon
