Food is always amazing. However this was my first unpleasant experience. It's usually a wait however I started noticing people that ordered after me get there food. I waited 30 mins and had to approach them about my food.

Loved it! I'm a vegetarian and a huge fan of soul food. My daughters and I all enthusiastically approve. We will be back!

Vegetarians take note, there was meat in the green beans. Whoops.

Mac is excellent, as is cabbage and mashed potatoes.

I don’t know what has happened but the past two times the food has been horrible. The fried chicken tasted old, the collard greens were undercooked and bland, the cube steak didn’t have any seasoning, and the mac&cheese tasted weird. The time previously to this recent trip the salmon cakes were burnt and tasted bland as well.

The food was immaculate. Workers were friendly and they gave out free watermelons today. Price is cheap for this type of quality food. Wonderful family restaurant. 11/10

My wife and I were out home shopping when we decided it was time for some lunch. My wife was in the mood for some southern/soul food and after a brief Google search we saw that Funderburks was close by and well rated.When we pulled up we noticed that there was a line of cars parked out front and we figured that they were pickup orders. Turns out, all Funderburks orders are pickup as there is no dine in option available. I mention this as an observation, not a critique.Anyway, we walked in and after looking at the menu, I decided on the Fried Catfish with Macaroni and Cheese and Collards and my wife ordered a veggie plate with Okra, Candied Yams and Mac N Cheese. After ordering we were instructed to get in our car and get in line with the rest of the folks waiting for their pickup orders. Our food arrived within a reasonable time frame and it was hot and delicious. Overall, our experience was a positive one. The young lady behind the counter seemed to have a little ‘tude like we were putting her out and the place was a little cluttered but Funderburks doesn’t have a dine in option so the lack of ambiance is forgivable. Frankly put, the food is the star here and it’s damn good! I don’t know when we’ll be in the area again but if we find ourselves in the neighborhood and we’re in the mood for a picnic, we will definitely return.
