Me and my girls came out for a good time, sat at the bar, received two drinks each, and never got any further service. Literally ignored and looked over while sitting at the bar top. Krystal was her name. Bad attitude and didn’t give great service. You won’t be back.

Good food, OUTRAGEOUS drink prices. Returned one night after a concert in the area for food as it was pretty yummy the first time around, with fair prices then, well this go around we ordered drinks prior to food, $11 for A SHOT of Jameson, do with that information as you will.

I really enjoy the food. The macaroni, rice and gravy, and wings are my favorites. I did go for a party once and there were bugs in my drink. I waited 30 min to order the drink bc one bartender kept ignoring us causing us to go to the other side of the bar to the order bartender. She was just as busy but at least told us she would be right with us. After I told her I had a bug in my drink, I did get another drink made from an unopened bottle. I was still a little concerned with how often they check their bottles and how many ppl don't notice the bugs. That drink was on their specials that night so a lot of ppl had ordered before I did.

If I could give it negative stars I would, this place is very filthy. They don't clean the kitchen there is mold everywhere. The stuff in the kitchen don't even have a date on them!
Since i have moved here in 2017 Gate City has become my favorite environment to be in. The staff is friendly and the food is amazing. They have different themes for some nights like the video i posted of karaoke night and the price of the drinks are decent and you will always have a great time when DJ Rio is on the ones and two's. Overall the heart of Greensboro's good time!!

The food was good and the service was good. It was a bar like atmosphere and had a dance floor but at the time I was there nothing was happening. The bartender was very pleasant and the cook was on point. I ordered a burger deluxe with fries. I was so hungry I forgot to take a picture . My friend ordered the honey chicken wings which he ate also before I could take a picture. We met some nice people there. Look like a nice place to go back to when they decide to play music. I will go back just to see what's going on with that lovely dance floor and DJ booth

Gate City Tavern never disappoints! First time I went was on my bday last year and they were doing Karaoke ?, LOVED IT! Plus they have sensible food options and prices! I did the $2 fish Tuesday and lost my mind!

I ordered via door dash for the first time today. I had fried Whiting, mac & cheese, yams, and collard greens that were among the best food I have ever eaten. Food is packed neatly and separately without spilling over. I will definitely order again in the near future.
