This was my first movie going experience since Covid hit us in 2020 and it was a great experience. The seats were super comfy and the sound was loud! I went for the Eras Tour movie and unfortunately they were out of the cups but had just ONE more popcorn bucket left. It was on display so the worker went in the back to wash it and then sold it to me! That's just good customer service right there LOL. This is where I'll choose to see future movies.

Went last night to see the new Hunger Games movie - very disappointed in the overall condition of the theatre was not good. Upon going into the theatre after they had cleaned there was wrappers on the way in. The seats were splitting and the head rests had all of the color worn off. The movie was scheduled to start at 3:25 however we had to sit thru 35 minutes of commercials and previews before the actual movie started at 4:00. Once it started the lights did not lower and i had to go out to ask someone to lower them which was done about 5 minutes later. Once the movie was completed the lights did not come back up. For the price of a ticket and all of the extra promotions I had to sit thru i would have expected a better experience. Shame on you for charging 42.00 for tickets, popcorn and a soda and the experience was like the above.

SOUND, please! So we sit in theater #2 to the right of center for the noon showing of "Killers of the Flower Moon". 95% of the dialogue is done with very soft voices. The A/C fan running along the right wall trying to heat up a chilly theatre never turned off until the last 10 minutes of the movie. It had everyone around us struggling to understand what the actors were mumbling to each other. Maddening ....

The design element as you walk in from getting a ticket to the concessions has a echo. It is interesting and fun because it takes you back to a child like state as you prepare to see a movie. I was there to see a special viewing of Ordinary Angels. The stadium style seating that reclines was comfortable and easy to use. The concession line on a Monday night was long and we missed a bit if the beginning. We were in line at 6:49 for a 7:00pm start. The staff was friendly and helpful but the Regal needs more staff if it's like that on a Monday I can only imagine a Friday or Saturday. Also please make fresh popcorn so it can be HOT.

A GREAT movie theater has a creative menu, clean spaces, friendly service, and an ambitious curatorial spirit. A GOOD movie theater just needs to have clear picture and clear sound. Regal Greensboro Grande is not a good movie theater. We have seen 4 films here in the last year, and experienced big issues with the sound every single time. Most recently, we did a Barbie / Oppenheimer double feature.Barbie was playing on screen 14. The center channels were clear -- dialogue was loud and crisp -- but the side & surround channels had serious issues with their levels. The soundtrack (which is played through these speakers) was very quiet and very muddled. Barbie without music is not a fun viewing experience.Oppenheimer was playing on screen 1, the premium "RBX" theater, and the surround speakers were entirely silent! The only functional speakers were behind the screen, and those seemed to be cranked extra loud to compensate for the audio issues. Additionally, the balance between left and right speakers was off. This puts a lot of strain on the ear, and makes for a really unpleasant listening experience. At the beginning of both screenings, we spoke to ushers/managers to alert them of the problem. Neither issue was fixed.

I visited here at 9pm on a Friday evening to see Cocaine Bear with my friend. Prior to visiting, I bought the unlimited movies subscription for like $20 a month, which is a good deal. I hadn't been to this theater in a while. You had to go to the concession counter to check in. I contemplated on getting popcorn/drink but opted not too. I had ate a late dinner shortly before heading there. Plus, the prices are typical (and expensive, lol). The cashier handed me my physical ticket but didn't tell me what theater or the direction, which is my typically experience at movies. I had to look at my ticket stub to find out. The theater itself was fine. I noticed that all the doors were open. You could hear the movies from the hallway when you walked past. I thought they closed the door after the previews? My friend and I sat at the top row. The seats reclined, which was nice. The recliner seats were leather and were cracking/peeling. They definitely need to repair or fix them. Other than that, no major complaints. The movie was decent lol. It's based on a true story but it was definitely exaggerated from what really occurred.

I went to see A man called Otto, which was a fantastic movie, by the way. As far as this theater, I like that it's kept clean and has reclining seats which not all theaters in town have at last check. The Regal has a great rewards program. I was easily able to buy my tickets and add to my apple wallet. When I got to the concession counter the attendant said that my popcorn was free. Free always wins with me! I enjoyed a great movie in a comfy seat with a fresh and free bag of popcorn! This one is my preferred theater!

Over priced and over rated. Don't waste your money here

It's been 2 and half years since I've been in a movie theater. I was way overdue to go. I went to see Maverick Top Gun. We saw it in the RPX theater and our seats shook when the jets were flying. Also it was very loud! Loved it! It was awesome! This is my go to theater. However, I was surprised to see how dirty the theater room was when we first walked in. There was trash everywhere! This is the first time I've encountered this. Also, they used to have seats where you could rest if you were waiting on a friend to join you. Now there are no seats in the atrium or concession stand at all. I don't know if this is because of covid or what. Overall it was a great experience and I will continue to go back for more great movie entertainment.

30 minutes of commercials. After paying $15 to see a movie, you get 30 solid minutes of commercials. And not different ones...the same 5 commercials over and over Then they crank up the air conditioning to minus 7 This place quickly reminded me why movie theaters are dying...and good riddance

Comfy recliners! Decent food (Nathan’s hotdogs & corn dog bites!). Friendly and efficient staff. Had trouble getting our military discount though. Easy to get tickets in the app, but pricey surcharge.

This review of The Regal Greensboro Grand Theater at Friendly Shopping Center is not only a review of the theater but a sentimental kind of review seeing how attendance to the movies has changed since I was a kid. As a child we only had one small black and white TV and so if you wanted to see color or anything on any kind of large scale you would head to the movies. We were lucky because we lived in an apartment building that was walking distance to the Allerton movie theater. So almost every Saturday I would cash in some bottles of Coke and use the deposits returned to buy myself a $0.25 ticket to the Saturday matinees. I think I got two cents for each bottle turned in. Anyway, it was quite a deal because you got two shows for the matinee and sometimes a movie would be so good that you would stay to see it again. If I scored really big in coke bottle returns, I would buy myself a chocolate covered box of almonds. I would let each almond chocolate melt in my mouth and then slowly enjoy the almond beneath. It was expensive though like 50 cents! I remember seeing such great films up on the screen like West Side Story and The Ten Commandments. Anyway, jump ahead 60 years and I met Fred and Nancy a couple of weeks ago to see the new West Side Story at The Grand at Friendly Shopping Center. The movie theater is conveniently located with tons of parking right in front. Also, you have plenty of options to shop or eat before or after the movie. I had not been to the movie since the pandemic so I did not know what to expect. First the sad stuff... Barely anybody was there. The concession stand was empty, the lobby was empty, the bathroom was empty and we were the only ones in the theater other than a couple sitting in the back. I felt so bad for the theater and the employees. No customers means no business which means no income which means no jobs and could ultimately mean no movie theater. Of course some of it is the pandemic, I'm hoping a lot of it is the pandemic but I have seen this trend in movie attendance even before covid. Just like our struggle to keep live theater alive, many people these days will opt for a big screen in their living room and catching it on Netflix. I don't know what the future of movie theaters are but I felt bad for them on this afternoon The positive side is it was the most comfortable seat I have ever had at a movie. Where have I been? My seat was wide and plush. You could recline, You could lift up your feet. You could recline and lift up your feet! There was a place for your snacks and there was a place for your drink and it was amazing! I sat back and enjoyed West Side Story in all its glory in total comfort. I had no idea that movie theaters were offering such plush and comfortable seating. I'll tell you what, that seat was so comfortable that I could see myself coming to the Grand in the dead of summer for a nice cool dark place to watch a movie and take a nap! LOL Let's keep the Grand open and get over there soon to enjoy a flick and a recliner!!

Still one of the top theaters. Staying advanced with quality, seating, and apps. The unlimited plan is still one of the best.

they were completely out of popcorn and did not post it on their website or outside the theater so basically you have to purchase your tickets before they tell you that they are out of pretty much everything. it's freaking christmas and my birthday
