I am very disappointed with my visit I made to the Green Bean Thursday, April 25th. I have been coming to this coffee shop for roughly 6 years, their coffee has always tasted amazing and they had a couple of things on their menu I loved and I couldn’t get anywhere else, with that being said I will have to say because of the disrespectful way I was treated during my recent visit I will not be coming back ever again. Me and my friend stopped in to get some coffee and use the restroom (we had been walking around for about 2 hours) when we stepped inside and approached the counter I asked the young man working if he could please point us to the direction of the restroom. He looked me and my friend up and down and then said “you need a public restroom?” And I responded “just the restroom here” because I was confused as to what he was asking me. He then responds, with attitude, “we don’t have a restroom you can use, you have to be a customer” I was so confused because i had planned to buy me and my friend something we just wanted to wash our hands and use the bathroom, etc, first. So, When he said this I responded back with “I plan to buy something” the moment I say that suddenly his attitude changes and he’s talking to us more respectfully. I did not like the fact that he looked at what we were wearing and judged us based off of that (we were dressed comfortably) and then the moment he realized we had MONEY he switched his tone. The way he was speaking to us was very unprofessional and made me and her both very uncomfortable, not only that but when it came time to order my drink he walked away in the middle of me ordering and he wasn’t even busy, he just walked away to talk to his coworker …..like okay? I don’t know who exactly has been employed since the last time I was there but I really hope all of their employees don’t talk to people like he talked to us. Due to this experience I sadly have to say good bye to one of my favorite coffee shops, but it doesn’t matter how much I like the coffee, I won’t be talked to like that. Managers, I hope you speak with your employees about the use of tone and body language when speaking to a customer. Thank you.

For the past month, I've been venturing downtown, and boy, do I have a tale to tell!Picture this: a couple of years back, I strolled into Green Bean, and let me tell you, the vibe was as flat as a pancake. Now, usually, I'm the kind of person who can sprinkle some positivity onto any situation, but back then, even I couldn't muster it up.I decided to write this review because it got me thinking about how many of us, after a not so great experience the first time, tend to write off a place without giving it another chance. Instead, we should be more open-minded and willing to give second chances.Fast forward to last month, on a day when the rain was coming down sideways and the wind was howling like a wolf on a full moon night. I found myself back at Green Bean, seeking refuge from the storm and in desperate need of a pick-me-up. And guess what? That's when the adventure truly began!I took a sip of what can only be described as the elixir of life—a London Fog so divine it could make even the most hardened adventurer weak at the knees. But that wasn't even the best part. The Green Bean Crew welcomed me like an old friend, armed with knowledge and enthusiasm that could rival any explorer setting off on a grand quest. From that moment on, every visit to Green Bean was like stepping into a portal to another world. The energy was electric, the air filled with the scent of possibility, and the sight of people chatting, working, playing pool, or diving into board games made my heart do a little happy dance. In that cozy corner of the world, surrounded by warmth and good vibes, I felt alive, like I was on the greatest adventure of all: the adventure of living life to the fullest. One London Fog at a time for me :)

I’m always on the hunt for nice and spacious coffee spots to work from it, this place is so far the nicest around downtown. Nice chill vibe, good wifi and great deco. A couple sandwiches on the menu wouldn’t hurt. I tried a bagel with pesto cream cheese and that was so spot on!

Visited Greensboro last month and just realized we'd forgotten to review The Green Bean. Enjoyed our specialty latte so much we returned a second day to try another flavor. Wide variety of interesting lattes, including "sugar addicts" sweet lattes and seasonal specials -- wish we'd had more time in Greensboro to try them all.

Used to be good coffee and decent price but it got more expensive and the quality didn’t improve, quite the opposite… In the past we could have coffee in a mug, now they only offer coffee in carton to-go cups which just ruins the coffee taste. Last time we tried to go there, we had a 15 min line (not long, just slow) to find out their coffee machine was broken so they couldn’t offer any coffee. It would have been good to know before the wait!

Love the coffee here. I buy the Van Gough decaf coffee, great selection overall and delicious coffeeDec 2023. This placed changed ownership. It’s terrible now. Hardly anyone there, used to be a vibrant cozy place with great coffee. Won’t be back again.

Recently remodeled. Looks nice. Hot cocoa was good, but over $3 seems a bit high for this town.

The Green Bean was our favorite coffee shop in Greensboro. After its renovation, we found it went from being a coffee pleasure to just another mediocre experience.
