Great DJ, the energy was amazing! Would definitely be back for a good time
Very unfriendly rude servers.
So the food was good. But the waitresse automatically gave herself a 20% tip on a $43 meal. So it was an almost $9 tip for 2 people eating wing and fries and because she was getting a good tip she was rushing past our table. So a 20% tip for shitty service, glad the food was good.
Pretty good lunch, but the server added an automatic 20% gratuity with no warning on the menu. It's 2025, we're over bait and switch junk fees.
their sandwiches are really good!
Excellent food and service. A great place to sit and talk 👄 enjoy a drink and watch a game!
I bought the hamburger sliders
They were delicious. I will be going back to get more. Thanks
Fries cold, burger meh, chicken pita good, service slow
We enjoyed our lunch today at Grey’s. The tenders were superb and the Philadelphia cheese steak was wonderful. I know where I want to go to eat whenever I am in Greensboro.
Love Grey’s Tavern! Delicious food and drinks, live music or a DJ on Saturday nights, and trivia every Wednesday. Rose makes a mean cocktail and was upbeat and friendly. Will return soon!🍺

The prejudice against oatmeal lovers is insane. I want to eat oatmeal not get it thrown in my face.

Ever been kicked out of a bar over oatmeal?
That's what happens when you hire bouncers on a serious power trip – or perhaps in need of psychological help.
What was supposed to be a fun night quickly turned into an embarrassment for the staff when my friends, dressed as Hall & Oates for Halloween, brought along a can of oats as a harmless prop. A bit of oats spilled on the floor – no big deal, right? Not at Grey’s Tavern. What followed was an absolutely bizarre overreaction by the bouncers, who seemed to view this minor accident as a personal attack. One of my friends, who was simply ordering a drink, was violently put in a chokehold and dragged out as if he’d committed some heinous crime. Another was thrown out for the *offense* of apologizing for the oat spill. The situation would be laughable if it weren’t so disturbing.
The mental instability escalated outside. Apparently not satisfied with their theatrics, the bouncers took it upon themselves to throw oatmeal cans at my friends – and even at the women in our group. That’s right – grown men, employed to ensure the safety of patrons, throwing cans of oats at customers like schoolyard bullies. It’s not just unprofessional; it’s borderline deranged. Grey’s Tavern has become a place where harmless fun is met with violence, all over something as trivial as spilled oatmeal.
If this is how they train their staff to handle minor accidents, you should avoid this place at all costs – unless, of course, you enjoy watching unstable bouncers lose their minds over breakfast foods.
