5 stars so far!

We went today for a simple dessert.
A strawberry paleta.
And a papaya frozen drink. We also grabbed the kids some pre-packaged character ice cream bars, like you would get from an ice cream truck. We skipped on the street food today, but another day soon for sure!

The papaya frozen drink was made fresh. It was simi-sweet with the faintest bitter undertone. It wasn't too sweet or sugary. The texture was smooth and creamy. It had a good melon type flavor, if you aren't familiar with papaya. Papaya is SUPER healthy for you, and this is a wonderful way to get in your daily dose.

The strawberry bar was full of strawberry flavor and very creamy. It was a good consistency to bite into. It had a fresh strawberry slice inside as well. This was packaged, so I'm not 100% sure if these are made in-house, but they are great for a grab & go dessert!

The service was wonderful. The people working today spoke Spanish & English. They were welcoming to my family & kids.

We hope to go back soon to try the food and many other desserts and items on their menu! Keep an eye out for updates. 😊

I came here with my sister for the second time. The first time, they forgot to cook one of our dishes and took forever. The service was also poor. Today, we came back, and one of the cooks accidentally dropped my plate, spilling salsa and grease all over my hair and ruining my clothes. She didn't even apologize and just walked away. Another lady came over, apologized, and gave me a rag to clean myself up. As I was trying to clean the grease off my new clothes and hair, an older lady came over, laughed, and asked if I had dropped my plate. I was speechless as to why she was laughing and making jokes while I was cleaning myself up. I understand accidents happen, but the lack of proper customer service was disappointing. I told my sister to eat while I cleaned my baby's car seat, which thankfully, she wasn't sitting in at the time. My sister said her food was cold, so we decided to ask for a refund after spending $65 for two people. The food isn't that good, the prices are ridiculous, and the service is the worst. We went to a nice restaurant down the street afterward, had great food, and spent less. We won't be returning.

Food is great and reasonably priced! Only gave 4 stars because there is ONE employee who always looks like she’s confused, will take your order wrong and charge you for her mistake without telling you, and looks like she is forced to be there.

Very cool little shop. They have a nice selection of latinx food and sweets. There is a large selection of ice cream. They have a little snack bar area in the corner too. Will definitely be visiting again to satisfy my sweet tooth craving.

Spellman Summer Ice Cream:Gusgueras DeliciosasMy thoughts: it was a small shop and the owner was soooo nice. The place was a Scooby Doo mystery because we found two places listed but at the same address so we of course had questions. And she loved telling us the story. It felt warm and friendly and it's Mexican ice cream so everything is interesting and wonderful. The ice cream was dense and filling and so reasonably priced.I had Garnita flavored ice cream which as far as I could tell was cake mushed up in ice cream, but not mushed up like a toddler did, but like an ice cream artist would do it. Sebastian liked his Oreo so much, he ordered seconds. After hearing our quest, she even told us interesting things about other Mexican ice cream shops. My youngest has seen these power puff girls ice creams on YouTube and apparently the holy grail is finding one perfect and not melted and refrozen all over itself. The one he found is perfect and he couldn't have been more happy.Go to this place and support a wonderfully unique local business
