This is my second visit here. I wanted to check if things had improved since my first time, which was shortly after they opened. Unfortunately, the ramen remains below average. The broth lacks any real personality, character, or depth—it’s disappointingly bland. If ramen is literally in your restaurant’s name, you should take pride in it and strive to make it exceptional. For inspiration, look to places like Tampopo Ramen in Greensboro or Dashi in Durham, which excel at creating rich, flavorful broths. Just emulate what they do well!

First time here at Hokkaido, highly recommended by a friend! It was really good, the food was hot and fresh. The shrimp fried rice was amazing!!! We will definitely be returning!!!

Amazing food. We ordered shrimp fried rice, black garlic ramen with pork belly, fancy salmon roll, crab wontons and spring rolls. Everything was hot and packed with flavor. Service was fast and accommodating. First time trying this place and it didn’t disappoint. Will definitely be back.

You're supposed to bring diners their food at the same time, not let one person finish half their meal and wait until the second person begs for their food.

I ordered the teriyaki chicken and when I started eating it I realized that the vegetables had been cooked with butter which is not good for me because I have a serious dairy allergy. When I asked to confirm if it was butter and said I had a dairy allergy the owner immediately made me fresh food with no dairy AND didn’t let me pay for my meal. I explained that it was my fault for not asking before ordering because I had forgotten and that she really didn't have to do that but she insisted. I left a large tip with the owner which she gave entirely to my server not taking any of it. She kept checking on me to make sure I was okay and I was incredibly kind. I will absolutely eat here again, I’ll just remember to ask for dairy free options like I always do and not forget again.

Absolutely delicious 😋 we order 3 different Ramen, a sunset roll, a sunflower roll, a california roll, an order of Yaki-Gyoza, and superman roll To-go. Sally was an amazing waitress and very helpful as this waa our first time here.
