Food and atmosphere is good. Service is a bit on slow side but may depend on staffing. Don’t just take my word for it… pull up!

Well first of all I was there for a dance event,so it was very crowded. So the wait times we're long, some of my food was hot but some was cold by the time I got it. Parking was limited. The staff was friendly and as helpful as they could be due to the situation.

The fried fish sandwich and salmon bites were 🔥. The portion sizes were healthy. Great atmosphere and our server Kenya made the experience even better. She was funny and made sure my family and I were taken care of.

The server did not bring my appetizer until my main meal came. So I got them both at the same time. My chicken sandwich was dry, maybe over cooked.

Drinks and food were great.
Let me tell you about A House Divided in Greensboro, North Carolina, a spot that should honestly be called A House of Flavor and Good Decisions. We came to celebrate my niece’s college graduation (go niece!), and this place ended up graduating with honors in the School of Brunch Excellence.
First, let’s talk ambiance. It’s cozy but not cramped, giving just the right amount of “we’re out” without the chaos of being out-out. The DJ was clearly playing a love letter to Generation X, spinning everything from throwback jams to those grooves that make you hum, “They don’t make music like this anymore.” The music was a tad loud, but that could be me aging into a phase where I say things like “tad loud.” Still, the vibe was right.
Because our crew was deep, they rolled out a brunch buffet. While it was solid (I went back twice for research), there were dishes coming out to other tables that made me feel like I was window shopping while already wearing shoes. One plate in particular stopped time: crispy, golden brown chicken wings stacked like royalty, flanked by creamy mac and cheese and collard greens that looked like they came straight out of Grandma’s spiritual archive.
I had to investigate. So I made a detour from my buffet bounty and ordered the wings. Lemon pepper. Now listen, I used to judge lemon pepper wings. I thought they were all hype, like crocs or NFTs. But these were fried hard just how I like them, with a crispy crunch that echoed across generations. The lemon and garlic ratio was blessed by the ancestors. Tasty? Yes. Life-changing? No.
Because the collard greens stole the show. No, really. These greens deserve their own reality series. Perfectly cut, clearly cleaned by someone who cares, and seasoned like a whisper from the ancestors. Not salty. Not spicy. Just divine. These greens were so good, I briefly considered writing them into my will.
Bonus points? The restaurant is Black-owned by a proud North Carolina A&T alum, who just happens to be my brother-in-law’s college classmate. That Aggie pride is strong, and you can feel the love and legacy in every bite.
Would I fly back to North Carolina just for those collard greens? Don’t test me. I keep my Delta app open.
If you find yourself in Greensboro and you don’t stop by A House Divided, I fear your soul may remain incomplete. Whether for a celebration or just a craving, this place deserves your time, and your taste buds will thank you.
Some co-workers mentioned this place. Wanted some Wings for my dinner while at work. Called in the order for pick-up. Arrived to pick up order and had a little bit of a wait. No big deal. This was on a Friday at around 730 PM. Not too busy at that time. As I parked and entered a patron came out of the building seemly irritated They were a bit loud and using profanity while talking to the parking/security person. I got my order a little bothered about their pay process. I had to basically do it myself with a small device I was handed. I ordered the Fried Wings with a side of fries and collard greens. The wings had a nice flavor a bit over cooked and greasy though. The collards were seasoned well-and tasted great. Overall a good experience.
Great food.. great service.. everything perfect
This was my first time here, from the food the service, and the DJ everything was great. If you are looking for a great time I recommend this place.
