Hwy 55 Burgers Shakes & Fries

Used to be my go to place for burgers, philly sandwich and shakes. Won't be going back as food has changed and not in a good way.

Horrible service, never got refills, it smelled, and every table was dirty.

Great little burger place hidden in a strip center. The Carolina Burger was good. But my wife had the Moose Cheesesteak and it was awesome. I’m jealous I didn’t get it. But I’ll definitely get it when we come back.

I hadn't been to one of these in quite some time. I ordered the chopped steak platter the first couple of times but it was always to salty for me. I have to say the Cobb Salad is phenomenal!! They always put just the right amount of everything on it!! Service and atmosphere is always good as well!!

We have always liked Highway 55 but this one was not a great experience. The bathrooms were absolutely disgusting. So bad that my wife wouldn’t even go in there. Hopefully somebody will manage the cleanliness a little better.

Quick service and tasty American specialties. Price is reasonable. Specialty is burgers but they also have chicken and shrimp dishes.

Been coming to the Greensboro location for years and getting cheese steak. Today after being out of town months came in and the cheese steak was half the size. Will not be back.

We have eaten at other locations and really enjoyed our experiences. This location needs a morale boost for the wait staff.

It was a Saturday afternoon. We were a small mixed age group. Our order included a kids meal, 2 adult meals and 4 drinks. Most were fine. One was missing requested lemon, never received the lemon after a second request.

During our meal we were entertained by kitchen staff cleaning the vents over the cooking area. It was very noisy and questionable since they were cooking. The dirt could have been falling on grills and or fryers as the filters were removed and returned to their positions.

Staff was yelling at each other adding to the noise. We may try again another day as tjis restaurant is a favorite of the young family member and the location is halfway between our homes. If it is not better, there are other choices at this intersection.

First time there. Everyone was so nice! My food was great! Served nice and hot! Burger cooked perfectly and fries nice and crispy. Fresh made lemonade. I will definitely stop by again next time I'm in that area!

I've only eaten at Hwy 55 a few times collectively as I don't live near one. Even this one is a 30 minute minimum drive out. But every time, it's been solid with nothing to complain about. I can't speak for their shakrs, but Great burgers and fries. Even got a pretty good cheesesteak, too. Worth an occasional stop.
