There’s no way to leave a partial star. I actually would have preferred to leave 4.5 stars. The staff was friendly, I received a greeting as soon as I walked in, the server was prompt and courteous. She asked for my drink order and it arrived quickly. As she was busy with other guest additional servers brought my meal and refilled my drink. The food was very good everything prepared and cooked just as I ordered it. The price was very reasonable and I do mean reasonable. Let’s stop talking about supporting small businesses and do it (start with Jake’s Diner on Wendover Rd Greensboro). Highly recommended.

Jake’s Diner is one of my favorite places to eat in Greensboro, and the main reason is the incredible service. The staff here always make you feel welcome the moment you walk in the door. They’re friendly, attentive, and genuinely seem to care about making sure you have a great experience. The food is consistently good and comes out quickly, but what really keeps me coming back is the people. It’s the kind of place where the atmosphere feels comfortable and relaxed, and the service makes you feel like a regular even if it’s your first time. Places like this are getting harder to find. Great food, great service, and a welcoming environment every time. Highly recommend stopping by if you’re in the area.

As far as the good stuff, the atmosphere and service was great. You definitely know what you walk into. Didn’t seem all that dirty and the place overall is nice inside. The outside needs work, same with the menu. I think it could be organized better. Food was very mid overall though. Nothing on the menu that says “ I WANT TO TRY THAT” Overall it was a good experience. If you’re in the area sure you can visit, but as a first impression it’s not worth the drive if you’re more than like 15 minutes away

This place has gone to shit and they don't care about customer service anymore. I just watched them turn down repeat customers that have kept them afloat bc they wanna close early. I don't know what has happened in the last month or so or why they think they can be a successful restaurant treating customers like trash and still function. This is probably going to be the next failed Greensboro restaurant you read about in the paper going out of business like McCouls, Dames and Cille and Scoe. Add Jake's Diner to that list.

Had a egg's with a side stack of pancakes. Had to ask for silverware to eat with after the food was brought out. Then about half way into eating the pancakes I found the dough wasn't cooked. When I said something to the waitress. She asked if I was done. If I was done why would I complain. Told her I wanted at least one more pancake. No apologie until she brings the pancake.
