We got the special. It was straight up nasty. Tasted old. Looked like they made it previously and tried to warm it up. I took it home and fed it to the dog. The salad lettuce was old. The green beans my daughter had was good. The mashed potatoes was ok but the gravy on it was nasty. The roll and the cornbread roll looked and tasted like bricks. It came with a tea which was great but the waitress never filled it. We asked for a tea to go which she brought. I understand it was an hour and half before closing but you could have just stated it was too late to be served rather than serving $20 worth of slop.

Visited because of reviews. We were standing for 10 minutes waiting for be seated. No one said anything or took notice. Could use better customer service.

My son an I was there at your restaurant today Sunday 2/25/24. Very few patrons there between 1:30 and 2:30. The young Spanish girl who waited on us must have been having a bad day.I ordered a cheese burger with lettuce and tomato with French fries. My son ordered a chicken sandwich with bacon lettuce and tomato with potato chips and ranch dressing on the side. When the orders came the tomato slices were mushy and my French fries was on his plate and his potato chips were on my plate. And my son ask for refill on sweet teas and and she brought him water. Never had such mixing up going on before.

This was my first visit to Jake's and my LAST. I ordered the Ruben sandwich and was surprised to see it did not consist of corned-beef. I don't know what kind of meat it was, but the sandwich was nasty. My friend order a side dish of something and was disappointed when the waiter told her, it was a substitute for what she ordered. You don't automatically substitute a dish without telling the person first.

They absolutely robbed me, I didn’t realize it until I got home already but they charged me $14 for scrambled eggs and hash browns … JUST EGGS AND HASHBROWNS… my man I ordered the cheapest meal I could ($5.40 I think) and somehow that added up to 14… I can’t believe I didn’t notice or question this while I was there I feel so dumb for that. If it was like a FULL plate of eggs and browns then maybe 12$ but it was 2 eggs and half a plate of browns. Come on man. I cannot believe I didn’t question it at the time. And on top of that I already left a fat tip because I thought “$5 ? I can afford to leave a good tip this time”

Good food but expensive. Came because online it showed affordable prices. Was the first time visiting on January 19th. Our waitress wasn't that attentive and got charged way extra than we should. Seem she was surprised us being married maybe due to us being interracial. She was the black lady with the permed hair. Had to flag her down to get eating utensils. 2 meals for the deal. One was flounder and mine crab cakes on a Friday. I didn't get the deal. We also ordered a small hot dog, bologna sandwich to go with a Reuben. My reuben was greasy. The hot dog for my hubby was alright but tiny. Husband asked for no tomatoes or mayonnaise on the bologna to go and still got it on his sandwich after telling the waitress how he wanted it.Total over $60. Got nasty slaw when I asked for okra though she brought it out later. Waitress claimed I got double fries instead but it wasn't. Husband love coleslaw but didn't eat it so it says alot about the slaw. She got tipped though she never filled our glasses up but brought to go teas. Probably won't be back. Could of had a steak dinner for the price we paid. Next time will pay attention to the receipt. You live and learn.

Found on Yelp, not far from the hotel we stayed at in Greensboro, NC. There was a wait, it's a typical diner, it's small and nothing fancy but the food was delicious, the service was very nice (our waitress) and the bathrooms were clean!

I loved everything about Jake's. The atmosphere was friendly, the food was great and so was the service despite the waitress training a new hire. That kinda service alone makes Jake's Dines well worth a visit.Parking: The parking lot is part of a larger shopping center, so parking should not be a problem.Wheelchair accessibility: Yes, there is a clear and easily assessable wheelchair ramp.
