Terrible, terrible experience! The food: overpriced for a diner, ordered a hamburger and was told that the condiments do not come

I go in for lunch around 3times a week and on weekends and went in for lunch and waited 30 minutes for my food was told they were busy with call in orders I was in the restaurant on lunch couldn't eat my lunch because I was out of time they gave me my food in a to go box and it went all over the bag so I had to throw it away and didn't eat lunch. I would have thought you're more important. Customers are the ones that's in the store not to call in customers. But oh well. There's other restaurants

After I paid for my meal, the waitress returned with only "part" of my change. She shorted me 65 cents. She claimed that she didn't have any change (loose coins). I know it's not a lot, but it's dishonest. I guess I shouldn't have tipped her before I paid, but like my dad used to say "The past is like your ass, it's behind you." In other words, I won't be returning to Jake's Diner on Battleground.

Great people that work here, especially Brenda, make the dinner experience top notch. Friendly, something on the menu for anyone and even the customers there all know each other. If you don't like dining alone, come here and make friends!

Eaten at Jake's plenty of times, will never go back after the experience we just had. Lazy, pretentious waitstaff that are wasting the owner's time and money.

We just walked into the Battleground location at 8:32pm expecting to get a few plates to-go on the way home, didn't even want a sit-down meal. Short, dark-haired girl at the front counter looks at us like we're aliens, no hello, no anything, she just says "You can't order anything, we're done for the night." What?

There were at least 3 tables of customers still eating IN the restaurant, one of the cooks was just sitting on a bar stool chatting and flirting with this same waitress/cashier girl. Neither one of them were working at all; they were doing absolutely nothing. Asked if we got the hours wrong because we thought they closed at 9 her answer was "Yeah, but we've been working all day." Right, that's kind of the point of having a job isn't it? We had just gotten off work ourselves and were starving, that's why we stopped in during Jake's regular business hours to take home a simple dinner.

If you're not going to cook eggs and bacon half an hour before you close, or pretend like it'll kill you to do something so simple, just change your hours to 8:30, don't list your restaurant as closing at 9pm. It takes 5 minutes to throw eggs on a grill and you'd still have 20-25 minutes before closing to clean anything up.

Garbage-tier Customer Service with employees who act like they're breaking their backs to cook a breakfast plate for you. Jake's won't get another dollar from our family because of the entitled, trash attitude of their staff.

If you want a family-friendly, courteous experience with great food and staff, skip Jake's altogether and just go two lights down to Herbies Diner. We eat there every other Sunday for Brunch and have never run into the kind of disrespectful, lazy people that Jake's apparently employs these days.

Jake's is a staple of Greensboro and a great spot to grab a quick bite. I love the homemade chips with a side of ranch. All the breakfast menu is amazing! Also, they have a very clean restroom.

Good food at a good price. I love the breakfast there!

Parking: At least 30 parking spots. No issues finding a place to park!

Wheelchair accessibility: There were several marked handicapped spots in front.
