Food is not fresh. Uses canned glory collard greens. Food has an ok flavor but literally nothing is fresh, they use the microwave for everything. Had a bad experience where they served meat that was clearly spoiled! Brought it back she tasted it and said it "taste" fine maybe it is your palate. Who in customer service would ever tell a customer that! Well I am taking my palate elsewhere. I have been in catering industry for years and around food and this is not a place that I will visit again. I predict that they will be closed before this year is out!!

Despite other reviews I attend Empire beauty school and my colleagues as well as myself eat here daily. It's always fresh, always hot and is very tasty. Of course since she's cooking for the public the food isn't salted but most restaurants are not. Definitely enjoy the food and the service !

This was my my first time eating at this restaurant and I must say it taste better than expected. I had the oxtails and they were cooked to perfection. The side of rice and peas were rice and black eyed peas which was a different twist but very much enjoyable. I recommend to try this new restaurant out, I think you would be surprised as well.
Today while at Greensboro's Farmers Market, this restaurant was there with a bit of their food. I had the beignets, jelof rice and stewed greens. Delicious. I cannot wait to go to the restaurant and sit down for a meal.
