I was standing in line and a young redhead girl was absolutely rude towards a customer that did nothing wrong . That customer just asked a few questions regarding the cakes. No customer deserves to be talked to that way and any employee that works for this company should never act like they are better than the customers that chose to buy from this bakery. If that's how you define your bakery values and customer service I will be going somewhere else.

Maxie B's Greensboro is "a cake & sweets bakery serving baked goods by the slice in a cafe setting, plus seasonal selections." I'd go a step further and say its more like heaven il on Earth. From the warm and inviting design, inviting nature and local farmers into your experience, to the impeccable customer service from the knowledgeable staff. I can't say I had one bad thing and we tried it all. I'm so glad I found this gem while moving my girl to college at the illustrious North Carolina Agricultural and Technical State University #ncat . I'll be leaning on them to love on my girl from afar. They've got the cutest dining area to enjoy your treats right there or you can take them to go in their sustainable packaging that's super cute. Did I mention their rewards program is the gift that keeps on giving? You're rewarded if you provide your own packaging, including providing a cake carrier for your whole cake purchases. Yall know I love a good shop local, environmentally friendly business. I highly recommend Maxie B's. It'll be a staple on my list of places to visit when in Greensboro. Well, that's after I visit and get hugs from my big girl.

The variety of cakes pies and dessert are wonderful. The staff is friendly, attentive, and professional. However, the last three times we have purchased cake slices, we have been disappointed. The slices have not been fresh and they have been dry. We also bought a birthday in May and the quality was dismal. Please bring back the moistness!

It’s rare for me to do a review but this is worth it. I’ve been a Maxie B’s customer for years now. I’ve always opted for their German chocolate or chocolate cakes, both incredibly moist and amazing.
Recently, my pumpkin loving brother had a pumpkin bar and insisted I try it because he knows I absolutely hate pumpkin. 37 years of life and it’s just never ever been something I enjoyed.
That one bite changed my whole perspective on pumpkin. It was moist and amazing flavor. So much so, that I thought about that one bite for weeks. Finally, I found the time to make my way across town to get my own pumpkin bar and wow.
It was so good that I had to force myself to stop eating it. I salivated about it all afternoon but, if I finished it, then that amazing little pumpkin bar would be gone and there would be none left. Well, I’m a big back so you know I eventually ate it all with extreme enthusiasm. You’d have thought it was my last meal.
That was 2 days ago and I still can’t stop thinking about it. I’ll be back today for more! The only advice I can give is: GET THE PUMPKIN BAR! Actually, get two!!! It’s worth being a big back for, I promise! 🩷

We got a cake made at this bakery 17 years ago for our wedding. My spouse walked in today to get two pieces of cake for 17 dollars. That is bogus and the slices are way smaller than they used to be. We can make a whole cake for way cheaper! Others may be willing to spend the money, but we cannot come here anymore. Thank you for making our cake 17 years ago, but the smaller slice size and increased prices don’t add up.
today I write a new review I went to Maxie b after having a bad experience last month. The cake was fabulous today . Everything was soft moist and delicious. I must say that’s the Maxie B I know and love.

We were in town from about 2 hours away, and a friend recommended Maxie B’s — now I know why! This place is absolutely worth the trip. They have so many delicious options, including great choices for gluten-free treats, which can be hard to find done this well.
The strawberry buttercream cake? Incredible. Honestly, everything we tried was amazing, so we couldn’t help but sample a little bit of everything. No regrets!
The staff was so friendly and welcoming — you can tell they love what they do, and it shows in both the service and the quality of the desserts.
If you’re anywhere near Maxie B’s, do yourself a favor and stop in. I’m already looking forward to coming back!

This bakery is so yummy! I love the Brown Stone Front cake and hot chocolate. The pound cake is just ok. But the brown stone cake is 10/10. I prefer the cake slices to the cupcakes. There’s a lot of icing but it tastes good by itself later as a second dessert 🤪 Might be the best bakery in Greensboro.
Also pro tip!! They said they always have everything. So if you don’t see your favorite treat in the display case, you can ask for it from the back.
