Love this place. Some unique flavors of ice cream and the restaurant gives a vintage and quaint vibe. I will definitely be returning

Super bad welcome from old man.

Oldest ice cream shop in the state of North Carolina. Opened in 1949 and still going. I asked for their recommendation for some ice cream, generally preferring to get some that I can't find elsewhere. They had 3 flavors I haven't seen anywhere else...banana pudding, lemon crisp, and apple crisp. We tried each and were very glad we did. Stop in and enjoy a blast from the past.

Food was ok. Service was almost nonexistent. I think our waitress visited the table once. Will not return to this location.

The food was mid but I really didn’t like the way the older lady acted.

A woman in front of the store asked me to buy her a hot dog and I asked her to come in and order what she wanted. The young woman and man rolled their eyes and the old lady didn’t even greet me but immediately started chastising the lady I bought in from outside. I interrupted her and told her I’m buying her food so it was fine.
She called the lady from outside to the back and said something to her that I couldn’t hear. I really cannot stand mean spirited people because you never know when you will be the one in need. Mind you, it’s the season of thansGIVING.

I said all that to say I will never patronize here again. God doesn’t like ugly and I don’t either. Then had the audacity to be singing a gospel song as they made the food. I hope you all have the day you deserve.

I ordered the old fashion hot dog special . The hot dogs are so tasty, I went back the next 2 days. I dined-in 1st, did take out and had a delivery.
There Rueben sandwich is excellent ?

1rst time visiting due to family insisting I tried the toasted pound cake. The customer service needs work. Greeting: dine in or take out, no hello, no how are you today. We choose to take out and processed to the counter, where we w8ed 30 minutes b4 some1 came to take our order. (While I was w8ing I noticed that no1 had on any hair nets nor gloves - which was a definite turnoff) I was about to leave when a young lady finally took our order, (still no thanks 4 w8ing or how are you 2day :-( ) I order a grilled chicken sandwich and the toasted strawberry pound cake. The chicken breast was big and juicy, it was really good - could have used a touch more seasoning though. My bread was wet which took away from how good the sandwich was. The pound cake WAS PROBABLY 1 OF THE BEST THING I HAVE EVER TASTED!!!! I was please that they allowed you to switch the ice cream (don't have 2 get vanilla) and assembly how u want. I wanted my cake and ice cream separate. My cake had the strawberry topping. IT WAS AMAZING - I TASTED MY CAKE 1RST, big mistake - I wound up eating my dessert b4 eating my sandwich. Overall the food was AMAZING and I'll give them another visit.

Customer service was awful. Wait was long with 5 employees working at 4 in the evening. Floor was dirty. Employees do not know how to talk to customers. Food presentation was poor. Continued messing up orders as we waited for our food. Experience in the past had been good. High Point has always given good service. This Greensboro location needs much retraining and cleaning.
