Sunday night 10:10pm, Dining room closed. We live across the street so we walk. Go to drive thru (We have been coming to this McDs for 20 years, so this isn't the first!) worker says, "Extremely busy, be with you in a min". 4 cars waiting for food, nobody in line. I saw at least 4 workers. They all seemed very stressed out, the manager lady said, " no staff, been busy all day". I felt like I was in some type of crazy comedy. He literally took our order at 11:06, no other customers left. We got our (2) $5 bags, wrong sandwiches in both, (2) mc doubles, one plain, one add lettuce ordered, what we got was 1 mcdouble with cheese and mustard and 1 mcdbl with lettuce and cheese. Ordered 2 filet o fish with lettuce.... No lettuce. Just so frustrating! To see this restaurant go down hill day by day is heartbreaking for those of us who grew up there! Tried to call for two days no answer, said numbers busy. Back in the old days if you called and the number was busy they would call you right back and say this is McDonald's how can I help you you know to try to correct their problems not anymore sad very sad.
UPDATE: 02/24/2025 Received an email from McDonalds USA apologizing my order was incorrect. The manager is replacing my food as I type. Thank you very much for replacing my food with no issues. We will be back! Thanks for your many years of service!

This location has become pathetic. The service is terrible. If you're not being pulled up waiting 10-15 minutes for a freaking kids meals only to receive the food and it warm or cold. Why did you have me wait. Cars leaving the drive thru and you're still waiting on a happy. Today 430 the young man asked for my order clearly was busy doing something else. Because I provided my whole order. The young lady took the other cars orders and I'm still waiting for him to only repeat okay so 2 chicken nugget happy meals. 3 cars order and pulled around. But I'm still waiting for you to repeat the same 2 happy meal orders.....Why? The employees don't smile handing you your food which 9 times out 10 is going to be cold anyways. Don't waste your time at this location. TBH you're better off young to Randleman Road or Cone for at least half decent service

Unbelievable! This Egg McMuffin was so fresh that I took a picture of it and put on my Facebook page. I want everyone know how fresh this egg McMuffin is. Or was, it's gone now.😁 I will say this when I walked in it was very unfamiliar, where as, IDK... Very uninviting, I guess you could say. I'm talking about the pickup area kind of a strange cubicle looking thing. Little bit of a wait, but it's definitely worth it.
I'm a regular at Wendover, West Gate City ... Just for comparison.

Now a days it is hard to have a great experience at McDs so I was surprised that everything was great at this location. Overall clean, the service staff was helpful and attentive (shout out to Portia), and they have a Playplace which are hard to find now a days. Will be coming back to this one often!

So I just went to this McDonalds again. 2 yrs after the first post. Drive thru was pretty long line so I sent inside and placed my order on the kiosk because there was no one at the counter. It was not crowded inside. After waiting 15 minutes with zero acknowledgment I leaned over and asked if there is anyone to help the customers at the counter waiting. She, the manager, said yes. I said “I’ve been waiting 15 minutes for fries and a drink”. She said, “oh, I didn’t know you ordered fries”. I showed her my ticket and asked if the order doesn’t come back to them? She said “you haven’t paid for it, that’s why you don’t have it” I said, there is no one here to pay.” She then started raising her voice to me. I said I will never be back. She continued to yell as I left….then she gave my fries to a customer that was waiting behind me. Management and customer service here is horrible!!!!!
Two stars only because I got hot fries and my tea was good. I have been through the drive thru several times in the past coue of weeks. Come on MANAGEMENT! The folks, today a young lady taking orders and the young man at the second window handing out orders, not friendly at all!! McDonalds was the first job I had as a teen. "Thank you for choosing McDonald's, may I take your order" was a requirement. Upon picking up food, dining or drive thru, Thank you, have a nice/great day, ALSO required. With a SMILE! If the employees do not have set standards that are required by YOU, the management, then reviews like this should be very common, which looking at them, this is the norm. It is the SERVICE INDUSTRY. The young man today handed me my food and barely even turned towards the window and said NOTHING. I said have a nice day to him and I got a "go to hell" look. The young lady at the first window told me the cost and said nothing else. Oh and btw, let her know that wearing g the mask doesn't work unless your nose is covered too, shows lack of intelligence.
