We used Painted Plate for our wedding, and we were so thrilled!! The food was amazing—we thought so, and we got compliments from our guests. Best wedding food we’ve ever had!! 10/10! And the staff were so friendly and accessible. Highly recommend. Shantel was very helpful pre—wedding with planning!

First and foremost, their food tastes good. Painted Plate will definitely deliver some delicious (and expensive) food to your event! However, if you want an enjoyable experience, you should look elsewhere.

I think our main concern is poor communication - starting with not including my fiancée on all the emails. I mean, my fiancée is doing all the communicating and coordinating. Plus, she paid for the tasting with money coming out of her checking account. Then, why am I the only one they email? Why do I have to forward my fiancée her receipt for the meals that she paid for? I wish their sales coordinator would click Reply All to include both the bride and the groom on email threads.

Another communication faux pas - it's a seemingly little thing - they keep spelling my name wrong. I wouldn’t bring this up except for the fact that my email address is my name. It’s an open book test. And if they miss that level of detail, I worry about what else they’re missing.

Anyway, after much correspondence and forwarding multiple emails, we finally made it to the tasting. The tasting was delicious! However, our concerns about their poor communication remain.

At the end of the day, it doesn’t matter how good your chef is if your sales coordinator is chasing people away.

I had the pleasure of working with Painted Plate Catering tonight and each and every person on their team was incredible. Everyone was so nice, cared about the guests and bent over backwards to make sure everything was perfect. The food happily filled all the tummies!

Painted Plate catered our rehearsal dinner and wedding. They're incredibly friendly and very accommodating! We had fully vegetarian and lactose-free buffets for both events, and even the omnivores said it was the best food they'd ever had. We've been enjoying all of the leftovers for days!

It is a catering/restaurant site so they have an event space and a kitchen space. A catering the food was good, well above the rubber chicken cutlet normally served. This is likely due to Brad S. who is the head chief. Service was okay for a catered on-site event and generally helpful. So why three stars, the business in part and location in total are owned by someone who has a very outspoken political position that made my wife and I consider not attending.

Do make up your perception and purchase based on my opinion’s and others since maybe it is five stars to you.

The food was delicious, the staff was great! It was an absolutely wonderful experience for our party event with 50 plus guests!
Will definitely use again for future events!!

Too small of a place for an event. Not enough seating. The food is delicious.

No one does it better! Understood exactly what I was looking for from the first meeting, presented a near perfect menu and the planning was smooth. Team was professional, organized and made sure the day of the event was memorable for all the right reasons! Would strongly recommend Painted Plate to anyone planning a event...we've used them for strictly drop off catering/set up to a large gathering with full-service, onsite support staff.

Thinking The Government should get some tips from The Painted Plate! They certainly know how to run a party like a well oiled machine. Our engagement Party for our Son was spectacular. Shantel and her Crew, including a surprise visit from Chef Brad, knew what I wanted and needed before I did! So thankful and appreciative for their knowledge and expertise. Painted Plate catered our wedding and they did a fantastic job! From the very beginning, Shantel and Randi were incredibly kind, helpful, and easy to work with. My husband I wanted to have an entirely vegan wedding menu, and after receiving several bland vegetable-only menus from many local caterers in the area, we finally found Painted Plate. Randi and Shantel worked with us to create a delicious and appealing menu for all our guests. During our tasting, Shantel, Randi and the chef Brad were very responsive and open minded to any feedback. They also worked seamlessly with my venue (Covington Gardens) to attend a walk through of the venue prior to our wedding day to ensure everything ran smoothly.Painted Plate did our bar service as well and Shantel helped us come up with Signature cocktails that were a huge crowd pleaser. In addition, she was flexible and understanding when we had our numbers shift, even up to a day before the wedding!On wedding day, the event manager Chris and his team were professional, efficient, and ensured the entire evening ran seamlessly. The presentation of the food during the cocktail hour and dinner was tasteful and beautiful. Many of our guests (who were non-vegan) were raving about the appetizers and dinner. My husband and I wholeheartedly recommend Painted Plate!

Wonderful! A+++ Shantal and her team were outstanding. The food was excellent, but the service is what really set Painted Plate apart. They were responsive and helpful, ensuring the order was perfect before confirming. The team on-site was professional and so buttoned-up, they put all my event nerves to rest. HIGHLY RECOMMEND!
