It had been a very long time (way too long) to eat at Pastabilities - but today I did, and it was beyond wonderful! Had the Calamari and Gumbo Soup - both outstanding! Then had the Fried Oyster Salad - no words - just so delicious! Our server was extremely patient with us and talked us through the menu, answering all our endless questions! Brought some Gumbo home for dinner! Can't wait to go back!!

I went a little while back and the hostess (who was clearly very overworked) seated me excellently with a beautiful street view. At one point the waitress was overburdened (because it was a busy Friday) and the hostess tended to our every need. The hostess’s name was Sarah and if she seats you, you’re in luck.

We are from out of town visiting family and wanted to go to a local restaurant and I found this little gem hidden in a strip mall! We ordered calamari, lasagna, eggplant parmigiana, meatball sub & chicken sub. Everything was delicious; the service was top notch; nice atmosphere and budget friendly! I wish I lived closer because I definitely would be a regular!

Great service, yet the food is not the best. I do not like to point out negative aspects but for $98 dinner I was expecting more. The lasagna - substandard seemed frozen. The swordfish wasabi aioli which was a special of the day accompanied by a vegetable rice was left on the plate.
The only one happy at our table was our 11 years old grandchild who ordered make you own pasta:
fettuccine with Alfredo sauce and the whitest chicken you ever saw. She is 11 and will eat boiled rocks, therefore you decide if the fact she ate it all is a positive aspect of this review.

We were brave enough to order dessert, because we were starving - a cold coffee cake type of what was labeled a pumpkin / chocolate chip cake.
Listen do not go - the only good part was Jesika the waitress.

For a place that specializes in pasta I was pretty shocked to receive mushy pasta that seemed as if it had been sitting in boiling water until they decided to toss it in a sauce and add bagged shredded cheese. Inedible.

I've been to Pastabilities many times. Mostly because my family likes it. Right off the bat, I'll say the service and atmosphere is always excellent. I don't think I've ever had a bad experience with the wait staff and they are above average for sure. It's an enjoyable vibe to have some wine with.

The food is just quite unexceptional in my opinion. The chicken has a flavor (not much) and texture like it is batch cooked and just added to the pasta dishes. The eggplant in the parm is way too rubbery. I wouldn't say it's flat out bad, but you can tell there isn't much passion in the kitchen. On the bright side, the prices are generally good.

My Father was from New Orleans and I wish he was still alive. I had the Cajun pasta and it was exceptional. I’m sure he would have agreed with me. I can’t wait to return.
PS I was served a huge portion and had to take half of it home. It was even delicious as a leftover the next day.
