5/5 stars because their service is AWESOME!! I been going here for 3 years and would always recommend them to anyone! They're pretty cheap for the amount of food you get. I usually ordered the san diego burrito with sweet potato waffle fries, the fries are soo YUM! They also offer vegetarian options, and authentic drinks like hamica (hibiscus drink) or horchata (sweet cinnamon drink) they give you a big bowl of chips and salsa and its really easy to order a lot of food to feed an entire family. Would definitely recommend this place its so awesome and they offer discounts if your a student at UNCG!

Called during business hours as posted on both Facebook & Google and they never picked up the phone. Even with their Pandemic adjusted options they still showed as open with takeout or delivery via Grubhub. Phone just rings until you hear the voicemail ping. Highly disappointed.

We ordered for pickup, got 7 tacos and some really good queso fundido with chorizo & 2 bags of chips for 30$. Decent price for the amount of food, and the tacos were so good ! Pastor with pineapple was great, the avocados were fresh, and the queso dip was amazing..... all around, really really positive experience !

If you've read my other reviews, you know I like some Mexican food, but all I can say is "Ouch". We were out and about in our home town, hankering for something spicy and relatively light, and thought we'd try this little place right across from the university. We've had a lot of good food around colleges over the years. Unfortunately, this was not the case here. The menu us short, compared to a lot of Mexican restaurants we've been to. That didn't bother me because a lot of my preferred restaurants have smaller menus of much higher quality meals. We ordered off the lunch menu; a burrito/ rice/ beans combo, and a single beef taco. I had a soda, and we had a side of cheese dip. Very limited meal, but the kind of stock and trade stuff that pretty much no reasonable restaurant can screw up. But no. Folks, this was the worst, most flavorless meal I have had in years. No seasoning to the beef - mealy and dry. The rice was just rice. The beans were just beans. Just... nothing. My wife's taco was a limp, sad tiny thing, sitting in a pool of grease. I can't even say the food was vile, because at least then it would have had some flavor. I honestly sat there thinking it tasted just like the cafeteria food I'd had in middle school. Then I thought, no... it's worse. Don't waste your time or money here. They had a bar, so I imagine it's pretty popular on a Saturday night with the college crowd, but dang... do not eat here. Also, our meager meal was sixteen bucks.

The food is excellent, hands down. The guacamole, the sauces, the desserts, everything was made with care and in great portion sizes. Service was attentive, friendly, and timely. And yes of course the tacos are A+, lots of options and frankly they're just delicious. I'd say that the chips lack a bit of salt but they were definitely hot and crispy. Great texmex place!

Okay im typing this because I haven't eaten the food yet, but this has got to be the WORST service ever... I am not joking, you walk in to this quiet, just somber restaurant and no one seats you, you find a table that doesn't have dishes on them and basically wait to be seen by someone. The server brings you chips and salsa, no menu. then we waitt another 5 minutes till she sees you and I say "i'm ready to order" she goes.. "but you have no menu" I said "well i found it online so i'm ready" and she just walked away and brought back a translator , well the food came about 10 minutes later and the carne asada fries were decent, but she did not like the nachos. There's one girl in there that is actually trying and seem to be basically doing everything, so props to her. But yeah wouldn't recommend lol.

What this place lacks in ambiance and decor, it makes up for in taste. I was very underwhelmed/cautious when I walked in here for lunch, but left thinking this place will be a go-to when I'm back in Greensboro. First the place is in the "college section" of town - it's right on the cusp of UNCG. When I went in, it smelled like they had completed a royal clean down after a Sunday party, but I guess that's part of a college town restaurant that has a bar as the focal point. I came in a little before the lunch rush, and was seated at the bar because I was a party of 1. The server took my drink order quickly and the chips and salsa came immediately after that. Then it took a little bit of time before someone came back to take my order, but about 5 minutes after my order was taken, a plate of amazing cheesy chicken and chorizo appeared before me. I mean, I didn't have high expectations, but man, this #9 combo was delicious in so many ways. The chicken was seasoned perfectly, the chorizo had a delicate spice to it and the melty cheese just helped it blend altogether perfectly. Just writing this makes me want this dish again - it was that good - and it was a cheap lunch! So a win-win. The outside impression of this place is something to be desired, and the service was a slow (and it's like everyone and no one is your server) but honestly, my meal was great!

I've been going to Pedro's since about the time they opened. I think they have some of the best tacos in town, I'm a huge fan, my wife even bought me a t-shirt for the holidays. I don't like hearing any arguments about authenticity, no tacos made in the US are truly authentic, we didn't invent them. There are also like 50 regions in Mexico that all make "authentic" tacos all different, so keep your negative authentic arguments away from my review. The fact is Pedro's tacos taste great, so you should eat them. While I've frequented their establishment enough times to try all their variations, I have not. I love the grilled chicken taco, sometimes the chicken is a bit dryer desired, but their lime crema sauce makes up for it, I usually get either a Carolina BBQ or a El Chapo Shrimp to pair with the 2 chicken ones. I would argue sometimes they put in too much cilantro, and generally the radishes could stand to be sliced on a mandolin, rather than with a knife. I've had the Al pastor tacos also once, which were also good. If you are a little adventurous try the lengua taco, a friend of mine loves them. I rarely order anything but tacos, but in a group of 3 or more, we will order the guacamole fresco. This is a fresh mix of avocado, onions, tomatoes, cilantro, and jalapenos that comes out in a large mortar bowl. It's fresh and chunky, just like I like my guac, if you are desiring a creamier guac, they have a reg guac option also, but that seems lame. I've tried my wife's ACP before cause we had a deal at the kiosk, and their other dishes seem decent. Service here has vastly improved, since they originally opened. It used to be very slow, but things have picked up and seems servers work together more as a team. I do find it strange that they do not have a dedicated bar tender, alcoholic beverages still take longer than desired. Also asking for vodka and soda, might have you end up with a jack and coke. So when ordering non beer or margaritas, try to be very clear about what you want. In any case this place is great for lunch or dinner, and is a regular stop for me. Parking can be a bit wonky with the driveway next to Sushi republic, but there are usually plenty of spots.

I didn't enjoy this place as much as my friends did, but I live in the southwest. It was all okay. The rita's were ok. Food was okay. Service was good, as was pricing.

The absolute best Fresh Tacos I’ve had in a long time. This was my first visit and I literally came upon a jewel. Blown out of my seat by the freshness of the cilantro, avocado, HELL all of the toppings. The meat was savory, fresh, seasoned, and cooked to perfection. Chefs do not hear this often so I’d like to personally and directly say THANK YOU to the chef. I stumbled across this spot by accident. I was referred to a piercer by the name of Katie (amazing) at Tattoos on Tate. A gentleman working the front counter was eating something delicious, I asked and he directed! Pedros, thank you for your wonderful customer service and soul touching tacos. Yes Lord.

You can tell if a Mexican restaurant is good by its salsa. This place has thick flavorful salsa. The entrees were excellent.

The food is absolutely delicious and they give a true authentic feel inside the restaurant. I took my wife out and expected to pay an arm and a leg, but the food is extremely fair priced for the portions we received and only spent a bit less than $25.
