Bought a groupon, only to find out this place has been closed since before COVID. Yet these assholes keep selling them. I'd give zero if I could

american food and the scene at this spot is great. Great place to chill, get away, eat some good food. Really nothing but good experiences here. The bill was fair for the quality of food.

Walked in on a Saturday night with 3 other diners. No hostess and when asking a waitress nearby if we sat ourselves, she didn't answer at first and then rolled her eyes when asked again. Our waitress couldn't find enough menus for us all, despite the restaurant being a little less than half full. They struggled to find us silverware and were out of Riesling. The Mahi special was too salty and not fresh tasting, making it inedible. The Caesar salad lettuce was comprised mostly of wilted lettuce and many of the pieces actually had brown edges on it. The dressing also tasted watery and nothing like Caesar dressing. It's extremely disappointing that they were willing to serve inferior products.

A new low. Actually I'm surprised with as many people that were there. First, the wait - over an hour! I order Charleston Rockefeller oysters. 6 for $12. See picture. The oysters were so small that I'm not quite sure if there were any oysters on the shells - and definitely no toppings. Then came my Lobster roll, I guess ($18). A small line of something minced inside a lobster roll bun. Even the waiter apologized. I don't blame him - quite pleasant. My guest ordered grilled oysters, and once again tiny. If the oysters are that bad then why serve them? Were you out of lobster? The fries were good.

If you like oysters as much as I do, you'll love this place. Great food, service, and ambiance. I plan on making this place my go to place for oysters.

Don’t be fooled by their lustrous online menu. They aren’t actually serving any of those things. And if you’d like to have fried shrimp instead of fried oysters on your salad, that’s a no. They can’t do that either. I just politely excused myself.

Love, love, love Pier Oyster Bar & Grille! We had our first dinning experience at Pier tonight and it was incredible. Delicious food. Great service. We love Hailey! She is so personable and made great suggestions for our dinner! Oysters = amazing! She Crab Soup = so yummy! Highly recommend this fun, hip restaurant with the most delicious seafood!

Oysters and soups were amazing. Entree dishes were very well prepared and flavorful. The meal just wasnt cohesive. We had to wait for appetizer plates, we had to wait for soup spoons, all while food was getting cold. There was a small lull in the time for the entrees, however they were well worth the wait. Salmon was perfectly grilled along with the brussel sprouts and mashed potatoes. The crab cake was wonderful. The scallops were large and tender. Just avoid the risotto cake, it is a cake and a little dry. Overall excellent meal.

Decor pretty cool for Greensboro, enjoyed our meals but nothing super fantastic. The service was good and liked the craft beer selection. Would go back if we were in Greensboro - it is one of the few restaurants that are not a chain.
Great place!!!! Very friendly staff and food is exceptional!!!

We just had dinner there. First time for us. Food was quite good, presented nicely and our server, Austin, was great. We will definitely be back.

New management has made fantastic changes. One of the few places I’ve eaten amazing shucked oysters with mignonette! We tried a few things to get a sample of the menu and even the chicken wings were amazing! Our waitress was very attentive and kept our drinks full. This is a great addition to downtown Greensboro and definitely worth babysitter fees for a date night. I’m hoping they start opening for brunch!

I'm so irritated with the lack of consistent quality in restaurants in this town. I loved my last few visits to Pier and my wife and I plus another couple recommend Pier to a few other couples for a New Year's dinner. Pier dropped the ball on New Year's Eve in the worst way possible. They managed to screw up the reservations, service, timing, and food quality all in one night to a table of 8. We spoke to the manager and thankfully he made it right. He said he had been on the job for only 2 weeks and was still evaluating the issues. I'll be back to see if there is any improvement. But get your $#!+ together...
