Wines are always diverse and good quality, service has been terrific. The food isn't their forte but plenty to go with the wine. I love the art and ambiance, as well

This wine bar is amazing! My friend and I decided to come here last minute due to another wine bar being busy. Tristian was great and recommended us some good drinks. Lauren helped us as well and they both told us about their weekly wine tastings! My friends and I will definitely be back.

I’ve been living nearby for years, and I can’t believe I haven’t written this review sooner. Rioja Wine Bar is an absolute gem in the neighborhood, and it deserves all the praise.
From the moment you walk in, you’re greeted with a warm, personal touch that makes you feel like a cherished guest rather than just another customer. The staff here go above and beyond to ensure you have a fantastic experience, and their passion for wine and excellent service truly shines through.
One of my absolute favorites is the Medjool dates appetizer. Their curated wine selection is impressive!
Thank you, Rioja Wine Bar, for consistently providing such a wonderful experience. I look forward to many more visits in the future!

My husband and I love this place. We first came here while dating in college, this wine bar quickly became my favorite date night spot. 10 years later we’re planning to come back to celebrate our birthdays. Comfortable environment, warm & welcoming service.

I truly enjoyed my first time here . The people and setting make it a great hang out spot . James was my server and he was great. He guided me through the wine list, recommended some great wines all while still taking me out of my comfort zone a little. (I’m not a red wine person but the Pinot 10/10.) I had the dip as a snack and it was so good, the hint of citrus really did it for me . I recommend this place for a date night, girls night any night really .

Came here a few nights back while visiting a friend in Greensboro. I have been meaning to come back here for quite sometime for actual service, as I had only been in previously to pick up a few bottles of wine. This is a place worth making the drive from Winston for. It was a relatively quiet night but all the other guests clearly seemed to be having a great time, just as we were. The staff got our food, (well my friends food that I kept stealing-get the Italian panini!) out to us quickly. They were incredibly knowledgeable about wine and lead us to try a few things we wouldn’t normally have ordered that we ended up loving. I am excited to bring my husband here to try it out for a date night. It gives moody vibes while also seemingly feeling like a neighborhood spot. I wish our city had a place like this.

Unfortunately this wine bar does not display on their website that they are 21 and up only. My friend and I were wanting to enjoy a nice glass of wine and I had my 6 month old with me. The waitress was kind in asking us to leave however I did tell her that I checked the website before and it said nothing of sorts. If you don’t want to allow children please say that on your website.

Great casual spot for good food and perfectly paired wines (just ask the Somm or any of the staff). Weekly wine tastings plus a monthly wine club guide us all around the world.

Such a cozy and fun place to visit. The staff are very attentive and have extensive knowledge about the wines available. So if you aren't quite sure what you want, they can help you figure it out.The food is delicious as well. Great place for a date night or as a warm up to dinner somewhere else. Can't recommend enough.

I hesitate to provide a glowing review because this is the kind of local place to be kept secret. It's an intimate wine bar with a tremendous wine selection and a most knowledgeable staff. Everyone is kind and courteous. They make every effort to become acquainted with you and offer suggestions that would compliment your tastes. A group of the staff even coordinate wine and food tours throughout Europe! Every Thursday (by appointment) they have a featured wine tasting from 6-8p for those still acquiring their wine tastes.

We thoroughly enjoyed the food and wine. Had lots of 'bites', olives, dates, Italian plate. Everything went so well with the 9 wines we tried. My friend asked the server to make up a flight and he complied very kindly!
