I ordered Scratch a little earlier through uber eats. All I can say is everything was absolutely perfect and amazing. I ordered the 4 piece fried chicken with garlic Parmesan rub, I took one bite while still at my kitchen counter and literally never went to sit down at the table. The moment I took a bite I just started shoveling food into my face. Not kidding, it was like Jesus and Martha Stewart got together and made dinner for me. The biscuit was perfect, the Cole slaw and potato salad were perfect, and the fried okra was like little balls of actual crack, I couldn’t stop eating. I feel like fat Elvis right now and I’m skinny.

Can’t beat dbl breaded fried chicken & authentic sides esp baked Mac & chz for the real southerners. Prices are good but unless you have a reason not to upgrade to the 4pc and substitute slaw. Not super fast but that’s okay since it seems everything is made to order. There are a bunch of seasonings & sauces available but I stick to the original.

I’ve been going to scratched since my undergrad years at NCAT. Never had a complaint until this past Sunday . Ordered the Chicken and waffles per usual , received my sides which the greens were well seasoned and mash potatoes were decent. What I wasn’t expecting was to see a bug leg next to my waffle. I thought that’s strange . I lifted the waffle only to see another bug leg under my food. The staff were really apologetic I ended up getting a refund for the waffle. They offered to cook me another waffle. but the experience was already ruined for me . Won’t be going back unfortunately.

Scratch this off your list of places to try. The crunch on the chicken is about all the noise that is being made for this place. As far as flavor goes, the only thing they marinate their birds in for 24 hours is air and water. There is no seasoning on the meat, and their side items are served cold and from the can without any flavor. Save your money. The south and soul food has died as far as the restaurant industry goes here in Greensboro

The day I was there, only two people were working so things moved a little slow. However, the food was really good! I got the Teriyaki Chicken bowl. It consisted of chicken, steamed vegetables and rice. They were offering a lunch special that day that included a drink for $11. It was really good! I would go back again.
