We are from out of town, 5 1/2 hours away. The food and service were excellent. Highly recommend.

June 21, 2025 - We had a huge group 25+ and there was chaos! Some didn't get food, drinks had to be repeatedly reminded for refills! The food was less than what we were use to. Burgers had cheese sauce instead of slice cheese or cheddar! The ribs were super spicy, wings weren't seasoned and some were not fully cooked! I was disappointed today, especially giving so many compliments! The waitress was ok, seemed annoyed and rushed. There should've been at least 2 servers for our massive group! I hope you will take this review into consideration and make the necessary changes!

5 ⭐ I enjoyed my first time there and will be returning with more family 💕

The food is excellent. The service was poor. Waitress continuously forgot things we asked for. Didn't seem to care at all. We are a family of 6, so they automatically put a 20% tip on our bill due to large group policy. They did not deserve it. Would not recommend for dining in. Maybe take out.

I’ve gotten a fish platter from this restaurant twice the first platter was ok, no seasoning but fresh..Today the fish was old and tasted so bad I couldn’t get pass the smell . I tasted it and it was terrible. The best thing about the food was the slaw.

The meat was laying on top of the side, I asked if I could get a paper to separate the two, and I get a ugly stare.

Food was good. Service was good. Doesn't offer senior discounts.

We’re from Charlotte and were in Greensboro visiting family. Upon entering the restaurant I could smell the restrooms immediately. Our waiter was a guy and he was ok. The food… reminds me of a K&W, cafeteria style food; not so much as soul food. The mac and cheese horrible, it’s just noodles no cheese throughout & topped with cheese. I ordered 4 wings with collards and broccoli casserole as my sides along with cornbread. My wings still had a few feathers a were just fried.. no seasoning! NONE & my collards were canned and there’s no denying that. The broccoli chicken cheese casserole was probably the best thing I had and it wasn’t anything to write home about. Potato salad I sent back! The cornbread was awful.. I don’t know how to explain it but no no no SMH…. We were a party of 10, on my bill it was 5 ppl and we paid 141.00. My husband an I look for black owned restaurants to patronize, but I must say we definitely waisted 141.00 today. My 10yr old was so upset he kept asking why didn’t we go to Cracker Barrel and we’ve never eaten there.

I ordered some turkey wings that was supposed been smothered in gravy but they were not and the turkey wings was so dry and tuff and it wasn’t good at all and the casserole stink so bad that I couldn’t eat and it smelled like it had gone bad and the mashed potatoes was so salty too and I couldn’t eat them either.I don’t know what went on today because their food is usually good but today the food was awful and taste nasty

My burger was dry and hard,had no cheese on it./My daughter's pork chops had been cooked to death very dry. Don't think we will be trying it again.

It tastes like real home cooked food. The staff is good, but 2 mistakes were made on our order.

The meatloaf and catfish main courses were delicious! The sides were so good. It was the right food and exactly what we wanted. Loved it.

My waiter was a sweet woman.

The food was alright...maybe I am not a soul food connoisseur but I was not too impressed.

I ordered Mac and cheese, collard green and baked turkey wings.

The wings were not as warm as they should have been. But I told the waiter and she took it back and returned with new sides and another turkey wing, so that was a generous gesture.

The Mac and cheese texture wasn't my preference. The cheese was curdled but not adhered to the actual pasta.

The greens were probably the most enjoyable part of my meal. The corn bread was not "corny" - just dry.

Unfortunately, I think for 'fresh' warm food, you are best with a fried dish.

I sampled their peach and sweet potato cobblers...not really impressed. The cobbler was too 'wet', unfortunately the crust too soggy to balance out the wetness... Worse yet, they do not offer ice cream with their desserts

I may return and give them another opportunity.

I get salmon salads at least once a month from Stephanie's and for the past several months now they have not been consistent with the way they make their salads. One day I'm getting regular salad that tastes amazing, and the next I'm getting shredded lettuce which tastes horrible in a SALAD! I don't understand why anyone would think it's a good idea to sell salads in their restaurant or establishment that are made with shredded lettuce. The salad has a completely different taste, and definitely is not worth almost $20! I was told by management that they have always used shredded lettuce from their vendor unless they run out and have to go purchase more salad from a store. This is a popular restaurant in this area and they receive a lot of business, so to me there is no excuse as to why they would be using shredded lettuce, which wilts before you can even get home to eat it, to make salads with. I'll be sure to ask if they have ran out of shredded lettuce before I purchase another $18.50 salad with wilted shredded lettuce! Stephanie's... Do Better Please!!
