This business, Cakes by Margaret or Legacy Pound Cakes has a hiding vibe in how the business is run. The cake was sliced almost under cover and you didn’t know what you got until you were long gone. The cake slice was small for $5. Hard to trust with this approach. Secondly, the cake does not taste homemade, instead it tastes store bought with extra butter and egg added. Also, the texture did not feel like a homemade pound cake; it tastes airy and light. Too too many questions, again, the hiding vibe initially felt makes one wonder if the cakes really are homemade. Other items purchased, they skimped on toppings….did not feel we got full value for our money!

We had to celebrate my daughter’s 18th birthday in quarantine so I contacted The Cake Parlor to see if she could make a small Chick Fil A inspired cake within 48 hours. Not only did she make it happen but the cake was delicious! Everyone was impressed!
